    headed to lake tahoe in a couple of days and wanted some advise on what the best / romantic place to stay in either Heavenley or Squaw might be.

    Get a large suite at Harrah's or Harvey's (Tahoe).

    They are two different places.

    Advantage of South Shore/Heavenly: Casinos
    Advantage of Squaw: Well, it is Squaw and no Casinos.


    I love south shore, mainly due to the 4000+skiable acres at Heavenly, which is all easy to get to from the village (a block 1/2 from State line). And the night life is more "young".

    Oh, and the Suite at Ceasers, at least one of them, looks like this.
    Yes, the walls are pink.

    And then these are views from Top of the tram looking down at the casinos; looking from the top down to the lake; after a hard day of riding, My Goodness, My Guinness.:D
