Lakers and Lambo invite

Gotta be a backstory to this one!

 

Wow!!! i got the same email...I replied i was interested, only to find out my reply did not go thru!! I thougt at that point it was a bogus email too me, so i let it go....

I guess lucky for me...or i would be pissed off!! if they confirmed only to cancel at last minute!!

 

Apparently Lambo of BH used my contact list somehow to shoot everyone an email regarding this Laker deal. I had no idea about it til "dan skies" called me and told me about it. It would of been cool if they shot the email straight to me and then I sent it out to everyone else, but apparently they got a hold of my contact list. I'm very sorry Haig or to any others that got effected by this. But non the less the staff of Lambo of BH could of handled this better.

 

ALWAYS USE BCC WHEN SENDING EMAILS TO GROUPS, I SEE SOME OF YOUR EMAILS, AND I KNOW THERES PEOPLE ON THERE WHO DONT WANT THEIR EMAIL OUT THERE.

 

It's screwed that they did that to you!

Dilan is a great and HONEST person and someone I can truly call a FRIEND.

I did this once before by mistake and everyone understood it was a MISTAKE.

Great to see many others know Dilan is an awesome person and a huge Car Enthusiast like myself

The issue at hand here is Lambo BH and the cancellation.

 

This thread is lame. They invited you to an exclusive event which is money coming out of their pocket to accommodate you and your guest. Maybe something happened that they really couldn't control. At least you got a phone call with an apology and I'm sure they offered to make it up to you. Take a breather. Mistakes happen all the time. Have you ever planned on attending anything car related or not, that got changed at the last minute for whatever reason? I have attended a few events held by Lamborghini of Beverly Hills which are all top notch and couldn't have been better. They go out of their way to organize things for the car community regardless if you are an exotic car owner / client. Think about it for a little bit. You'll get over it.

Maybe he made up a name to protect Dilan. You can't be mad at him for using his resources. That is why there is a BCC option when sending mass emails. If you're so upset that he got your email why didn't you confront him originally instead of accepting his invite and then when there was an issue you got mad about how he got your info. Somethings just don't make sense.

 

Dilan, I was curious if BH Lambo had told you to invite all the people you did in your original invite to the opening night gala? Those invites are usually personally done to their own client list of customers, not to go in someone else' email blast.

 

I just want to make clear I have no personal issues with you but I just don't think its right you are bashing the guys over at Lambo BH. They are all great guys and don't deserve the trash talk. He called you an apologized and clearly stated that there was a mistake somewhere along the line. If you are going to say something bad about them at least do it where they can defend themselves.

 

Hey Steve! I personally asked Derek if I can invite a few close fchatters and friends to the party. And they gave me the green light. Which was really cool of them. And it was a good party.

Jason you are right, Derek and Manfred are pretty chill guys. But we don't know the full story behind what happen with the Laker game and all. So I believe we should let Haig and Lambo of BH settle that one. And as for the email, even though it was my fault for not bcc'ing. They still shouldn't of sent out an email with my contact list.

Sales leads. A lot of people are losing their cars and homes (you know who you are!) right now with this economy, but you never know how many people have something stuffed in a mattress or who's trust fund just kicked in. You can't fault them for trying, but you can for not being discrete with the BCC. Some people are just bad with technology. I am on that list and nobody has spammed anyone at all, Dilan knows who to keep on his lists. With limited space and LoBH not owning a box, it could have been subject to the actual box owner's discretion. It happens. A more artful "we already booked the seats" would have been better than a cancellation. Personally I would have preferred the diplomatic response. Lie to me with sincerity.

O'gara does have some good people over there. When I invite you guys to a Playboy Mansion party or photoshoot, I'll use the BCC feature

Dilan is not their event coordinator, but I am sure the more bodies that show up the better it is for appearances. I was going to bring a few people from Variety, some senior editors, but another event we had was a tad more important. They could be potential buyers too.
