Headline reads: "Omani Lamborghini crashes into an Indian, the Indian turns into shreds". Date June 27, 1428 3:25PM

Oh ok, I get it, he was just an Indian. They make him sound as if he wasn't human. Year 1428, what do you expect?

well, we don't exactly know what happened... Maybe the pedestrian was a moron who was walking in the middle of the road at night, I see that kind of people all the time..

    a4redude123:

I do not discount the tragedy that followed with this reckless "berk" driving into a harmless pedestrian and killing him.

I agree with you that the news media in this middle-eastern country is perhaps not in 2007 but however ( IMHO) it would not be fair to stay that they are stuck in 1428 either ("1428" is their way of numbering the years not "AD" but "AH") -

They refer to "the Indian" ("Al Hindee" الهندي in the original text) in perhaps the same way that Western (and a now-egalatarian ) Society would have referred to someone as "a Foreign National" barely 25 years ago.

Lets give them a quarter century to catch up - BTW I am American and of Indian extraction:)

    Peace ...
