I know you liked the Lambo more in your comparo but... it's not better when you can't drive it!

of course I'm aware of the irony of my write up, then the car being towed away. if i was that worried about it, i certainly would not have posted pics of my new lambo being towed away. it's no biggie really, a handful of years back I literally could not have imagined that i would have such "problems". I still feel fortunate.

A rubber hose is not something you can really blame Lambo for.... I have seen that happen on all sorts of makes.

I would blame Lambo. And I have never seen this happen on any new car before.

Sorry to hear about this Noel. Btw, I don't know if I ever told you this yet, but great color combo on the G. It looks awesome!

Exact same thing just happened to my father in law's brand new van. Same thing happened to a friend's brand new Viper. Not that unusual, but still not something I'd call acceptable.

Well, there is no doubt that the dealer is responsible to fix it in each case. Not acceptable at all.

Was the van American like the Viper? :)

when i worked for mercedes benz i had seen worse things than this. i one time saw a customer spend all day (like 4-6 hours) test driving and negotiating and stuff. finally buys the car (an ML truck), get exactly 4 miles down the road and the transmissions locked up on him slamming him into the steering wheel and deploying about half of his 6 airbags (exagerrating a little but to get the pooint across). MBUSA ended up giving him a brand new s-class for free for his signature as a release. he was a stupidass for that one. those ML's were the worst. they had a problem where if the window switch aged like 4 months in any way, meaning whether the car was sold or sat on the lot, the windows would go down but wouldnt go back up, couldnt count the number of times i seen that.

so in conclusion not all cars are perfect and to say that is unacceptable is true in a way, but how many gallardos' have done this? i havent seen any other than this one. not every-one-of-them is going to be perfect. and like it was said, this will go for any type of car.
this is a $200k car thats what causes that comment, because if it was a hyundai, someone would just say "its a ****ty car" or "thats why it costs $10k"

after mercedes benz i got transferred to a porsche-audi-volkswagen that was the same company and i saw just as many things happen there. of couse it was more common in the VW, then the audis' then the porsches. of course that could be attributed to the fact that this was also the order in which the volume of cars sold was
maybe there is a coincidence with the audi-lambo thing?

Any word on what the problem was?
They should be treating a new purchase with speed to get you back on the road.
