Hell YEAH! I was expecting just that. The Diablo and Countach took names! Those where kickass cars for the generation they where in. Now its like the Murcielago has become tamed compared with what those legends where.

The Murcielago SV is ok but I cannot get over that ugly ass wing and rear bumper. Something is wrong when I still prefer the looks of the Diablo SV over the Murcielago SV. The SV is not faster than the Enzo, its not ever faster than the SLR. :(

Thats all Lamborghini has been doing is business and making money.

Don't some of you guys realise that Lamborghini is like the current Metallica?. They where awesome back in the 80's and 90's and now they aren't so hot anymore. Or they where like the chicago bulls when they had Jordan and now look at where the bulls are today.

Once you start making money I guess you start sand bagging and really don't take chances or try anymore. whatever makes money is what works :(

With a name like Urus. I hope thats just a made up name by that same dude's rendering. But I highly doubt it is.

whatever the price, i'm sure it's going to be A LOT! and no? it's not faster than an Enzo? R&T had the SV at 0-60 in 2.8, 1/4 mile in 10.9 ...that's a good bit quicker than the Enzo they tested back in the day... 3.3 and 11.1...

The ZR1 is just as quick with the average joe behind the wheel and the Murcielago barley walked away with a more experienced driver at the wheel. Thats kind of sad when Joe with a Corvette could still pose a threat. :D

The Enzo is faster than the SV. The SLR 722 is faster than the SV.

    Get over it.

not trying to defend a particular dog in a fight.. and no need to 'get over' anything here..just going by the 'facts' according to tests done...and by those numbers, by any past numbers...the Enzo is not faster in a str line, it's age regardless... on what basis is your 'it's faster, get over it?' on a rolling start? top speed? and please, for the love of god, no Top Gear 'show racing'...that's just infotainment...just sayin'...

Enzo is not faster than the SLR? Are you kidding me?.

Maybe the 722 model is faster but even then I would doubt its performance against the Enzo.

The ACR and ZR1 is probably quicker than the SV. :( I just showed you that the ZR1 can run with one with an average driver up against a pro!. Thats not good.

the lp 670 I believe matched the enzo's time on the top gear track.. not bad.. even though it came out 6 years after the enzo.. :)

It looks like someone left a Gallardo sitting out in the hot sun too long. Kinda repeats me of that Gumpert Apollo car, but I'm hoping this Urus looks nothing like that sketch

Even if it did that was 6 years ago!.

Thats nothing to brag about like a newer SHO beating up on an older Camaro LS1.

Had this murcielago been released like 5 years ago when it mattered then I could see the buzz but sadly lamborghini was late on this one :(

the SV is a lot of car for the money!

it has a lot of power, looks great, handles and sounds like a raging bull should ... and has a nice interior

it is much faster than the 640 and really way too much faster for 95% of people ...

with 0-100 Km/h in 3.0 and o-1000 m. in 20.0-20.5 sec there are few stock cars faster than it in a straight line...

i bet it is faster than an enzo in a straight line (and this is a good result imo)

the only thing lambo needs is a lighter flagship, even the SV is a little heavy
at 670 cv people that complaint about power are almost insane...or have never been in one!

when was i comparing Enzo to SLR??? the question was between SV and Enzo. silly magazine racing or not...the question was acceleration from a dead stop...Aaron over there posted a vid to 'prove' the 722 is quicker in a strt line compared to the SV (yeah, sure, just like how the Veyron-with AWD and DSG--couldn't get off the line much faster than the Mc F1...Top Gear is for show, and it's fun to watch). and at least by R&T data, the SV is the second quickest ever, only behind the crazy Veyron. according to R&T and several other publications..the ZR1 is not quicker...traction off the line not the greatest, where the SV has the AWD advantage...2.8 seconds to 60 is pretty darn fast. 10.9 in the 1/4 is quick as well. no question, the Vette is fast around winding roads or a race track...and the vid you posted i'd seen before...fun to watch and not surprising how hard the driver in the ZR1 had to work--in the dry... this thread had taken a turn, sure...but the great response was a la thirteen year old attitude "Enzo is faster, get over it"...jeez louise, is it that hard to post something constructive or at least a little objective?

agreed..especially the weight issue...and if the rumors are true...carbon chassis, 800hp, etc..then, maybe, in the tech and propaganda war...the Urus, or whatever it will be called, could stand shoulder to shoulder with the 'F-70'... the competition (if there is a direct one)should only be good for potential customers...those with deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep pockets:)

I wouldn't get too worked up over the styling just yet. Most of those photoshop illustrations are so far off the mark from the final product that the car's designers are probably laughing in their studios.

The first pic looks awesome I hope thats where the styling goes.

The rest looks like a production run Revetion.

Top Gear proves nothing as I've said about a million times on this site.

Until I see an actual Youtube or streetfire video of a Murcielago SV beating something in the lines of an Enzo, SLR, Zonda or even Mclaren F1 I'm not sold on the idea that it does 2.8 seconds 0-60 and runs 10.9's like a Mclaren F1. I think those numbers where fabrcated. Magazines and TV shows sometimes lie, realitly speaks for itself.

Well, I as well do not put a lot of stock in so called "tests" of any vehicles..

BUT I do put faith in my OWN SEAT time and experiacne..

I have driven the Enzo (probably 3000 miles), the SLR (1500 miles) and of course my SV #12 just over 4000 miles now.

I dont know which car is 1/10 a second faster or not..really no big deal to brag about a 1/10 of a second or so..BUT I do know my SV has hit 0-60 in numerous runs I have had..AND every single one was in the 2.9 to 3.2 times..every time.

BUT even if the car ran 0-6- in 4.0 seconds, it is still hands down the best of the three, based on price, design and all performace put together for the street. AND yes it is faster than my 2008 LP640 was as well.

In a nut shell, buy and drive what you want, it is your money. BUT I can tell you, having had the pleasure of owning and operating almost every high end car made in the last 10 years..NOTHING and I MEAN nothing comes close the the SV. The car is JUST that great all around. It is just a shame most people will never get the chance to experiance this ASSUME car.

A side note, FYI factory numbers as of last friday.

    350 slated to be built.
Last SV starts production this week.
    total produced is under 320
ONLY 31 SV cars to the USA
15 have already been sold and on the streets
16 left, most in route for shipping and already spoke for
    a few left for delivery
ONLY 2 6 speed manuals to USA
My small wing #12 Impact White and one other small wing Matte White.
