Be very carful with the powerplus people. I have a GS400 that I got the Powerplus waranty and just now got to talk to them due to a tranny problem that has arrisen. They finally told me that I can take the car to the people I choose and then they will cough up the bill. SOO I guess that it isn't soo bad, but it did take a while to get a straight answer out of them!

Currently Lamborghini does not offer their own extended warranties. There are two companies that do, The Exotic Warranty Company (Disclaimer: I am the CEO and Founder (as well as Lambo owner)), and ACSC. My companies warranties can be purchased from almost every factory authorized Lamborghini Dealer, just call your favorite one and ask them about the contract. The other provider, ACSC, who is a direct competitor will be a slightly lower price point, however bear in mind their contracts come with claim limitations of $5000.

So, what exactly would that pay for? a flat tire? ;) Why would anyone offer insurance with a limit of 5k$ on a 100k$ car. Anyone else see this as odd?

Strangely enough, ACSC has been offering contracts on exotic cars since around 1998 best I can find. At the time, it was the only product available. When you're the only one with a product, you're a lot less likely to get resistance because of limits. Thankfully, times have changed. :)

Transmissions are $15,000 or so just for the part, computers are in excess of $3500 each, etc....... Even the silly stuff like O2 sensors are about $600.

...usual disclaimers as before apply of course.
