  3. The comments are predictable, and somewhat funny. In one comment apparently they mention that the grandma has a 55 Gullwing also. That's a big wow if true. Any idea where this is? England?

I read "had" a 55 Gullwing. And the poster seems to be from Washington (state) but that doesn't mean Grandma lives there, but good chance she's in the US. Mentions very cold winters and hot humid summers, so could be coastal in the north?

This story is getting blown out of proportion by people making stuff up as they go along, and creating the story they want it to be.

    Short summary:

It's not a barn find, it's simply a car parked in a home garage, plus, as the made-up title erroneously suggests, it can't be a barn-find and yet exist in a garage.

It has not been discovered or found, grandma's known exactly where her Countach and 308 are at all times, as did the grand-daughter, who posted the images on social media, nobody found or discovered anything, as the young lady herself says, "everyone’s known they were there".

Also, it has not been abandoned for over 20 years as the writer made up, it's been in this garage for less than 15 years, all the while under Grandma's watchful eye.

    Some more facts:

The car is in the USA.

The car is actually an LP400S badged as an LP500S.

Even though it's a fun thought, I am not interested in acquiring & restoring this car, after all those Miura SV restorations and a couple of LP400 restorations plus the epic Mimran Downdraft restoration, I got full-blown restorations out of my system, I'm content.

That said, I bet this car will soon leave this garage to be restored by someone.

It looks like a MGTC alongside the Countach.

Was thinking the same thing...this is not a shocking event…...not a barn find when everyone knew about it, knew where they were. My cars are in my garage. When die and my daughter takes pictures, does mean the cars have been discovered? No.

Agreed. I always get a kick out of these “barn find“ stories. A car sitting in an attached garage is not a barn find. Neglected is a better word. In my mind, this is a true “Barn Find”:

    Yet.

A quote of her post: "they’re not for sale (yet)"

I get a kick out of all this barn find stuff. These are just cars that the owner lost interest in, and let them sit and deteriorate :( Someone always knew were the car was.
