I own an USA model 1991 Lamborghini Diablo. Hoping that an owner with the same model and year could verify the following for me.

The interior climate control system blower has three speeds, indicated by a horizontal row of three individual lights. One light on is low fan speed, two is medium fan speed and three lights on is high fan speed. When all three lights are off, I would expect the fan would be off, it would be silent. On my car, when all lights are off, the fan still runs at low speed. Is this how it was designed to work? Is this the same result another car owner gets?

    Thanks in advance. Ron

That is normal. On my last 91 diablo, i put a small switch in the ashtray to turn it off entirely. I heard somewhere the reason they did that was to always have circulation due to the cabin design (not enough natural circulation, swept windshield, etc), not sure if that is why they did that.

My current 91 diablo doesnt do this, and its a later VIN, so maybe they changed it.

I just came across this thread. I have a 94VT and the fan also runs all the time. Mine does not seem to change airflow direction when pushing the various switches. I just had my climate control unit refurbished in England so I don’t believe that is the issue. Does anyone know if the vents are controlled by vacuum or are they are electric? If so maybe a leaking vacuum hose?

yes, its vacuum. there is a long vacuum line running from the engine compartment down the passenger side pod, to manifold buried under the dash.

Thank you for the quick reply. I’ll have to check the vacuum lines.
