Driven Perfection Visits The Lamborghini Factory And Museum In Sant'agata Bolognese Bologna, Italy. No photos were allowed on the factory floor. These were taken at the museum and "The Bull Bar" across the street. It was truly and honor to witness the production line in action, and view the full history of one of the greatest supercars in the world! You have some of the best museum pictures I have seen. Thanks for sharing. Great shots of the Hurican out in front and the first I have seen of it in a real setting. Did you get much of a look at the Hurican assembly line? And what's your impression of the car?
Wow - thank you for that compliment! I was only using a Sony point+shoot, with no flash. Pics from the Enzo museum came out great, will be posting those up soon. I saw the entire Huracan assembly line, and the Aventador line. The Huracan looks great, a very worthy successor to the Gallardo. Love that back end.
Lucky man and great shots. Lamborghini was my favorite place to visit. Such a chill, relaxed atmosphere. Bull Bar was great too. Pretty enjoyable place to eat and stare at the front of the factory. What struck me as pretty amazing was that Lamborghini is just sort of out in the country away from things. Ferrari was so packed and crazy with tourists in an urban setting and Lamborghini was a striking contrast.
Agreed, it was great to compare the two. My tour of Lambo was very private, only 3 of us in the group. It felt very special. The Ferrari tour was far more in depth. There were maybe a dozen in our group. They used tour busses to drive us to the various parts of the facility. We saw the Engine Plant, final assembly lines of both the V8 and V12 cars, the F1 Racing Department, Corsa Clienti, the wind tunnel, it almost felt like being on the Wonka tour. Was hoping Luca would hand me the keys to the factory at the end.... I loved every second of it all. Trip of a lifetime.
¡¡Glad to see on your pictures that the P132 has recovered his rear bumper!! Though I'm not sure it's the original one...
I was wondering about that car - Just googled it, thanks for the model number. It was looking very sharp at the Museum indeed.
You're welcome. Is the early prototype for the Diablo. The way it was to look like if Chrysler didn't change its design. Pure Gandini... ;-)
"Bull Bar" is independent from the factory... It has been open with the target to rent Lambo models for small demo drive : Gallardo & Aventador... no link with the factory. Last year, our fellow Jasper had his permanent small "Lambo museo" in the next room to it. For your knowledge, this small building was back in begining of 1963, the R&D office where Dallara, Stanzani and others engineers have started to work for quite a long time untill the main building of Lambo factory ended !
No I knew it was independent with no link to Lamborghini. No confusion there. Cool info about the building though! Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
In the time (1963) in the building there was the factory of Luppi (agricultural devices) Since it was already a factory and equipped with many machinery Lamborghini started there awaiting the finishing of his own factory. Mr Luppi, who is still alive, told me HE was the one that pointed out the piece of land in S'Agata to his friend Ferruccio. It was an awesome idea that I started my museum in this historical important piece of Lamborghini history. Unfortunately my faith has been the same as the initial Ferruccio Lamborghini car company: it didn't work out... But fortunately, just like him, I am still doing well afterwards
