I have 2 with the 'circles' as well. No idea from what car they came btw: the 'circles' are some kind of mounting pins, to keep the resin to the shield. My guess is that later they applied some glue or a 'self sticking' resin, eliminating the need for the mounting pins. technology advancing ...

Interesting enough the fact it was supposed to be a 200 examples version ...so limited edition It ended up being the most sold version. This is similar to what Ferrari did with f40. Due to crazy 1989 demand these cars were built in numbers 3 times bigger than expected!
The top section says 200 - typewritten sheet last para says 400! Looks like they were making it up as they went along!
They didn't want to be embarrassed. It was limited to the number they could sell. If they couldn't give them away they could say we only planned on 200. It kept selling so they kept building.
i have a factory poster that says something like "limited 250" but they actual printed only 100 because they didnt need nearly that many for the dealers. the person i picked it up from commissioned the poster when he was in charge of setting up the dealer nextwork.
I confirm the one the 2 circles are period from '60s & '70s due to production process and later the production process change due to improved tool/machine

Huge thanks to Peter Lazzari for posting (in 2013 page 19 post 374 in Lamborghini Memorabilia thread) scans of 1966 Sunday Times colour supplement on the Miura. I have been looking for this for years. Like him, I first saw it when I was 13 and it sparked my interest in cars, which has endured to this day. I saw a red Miura at Goodwood Festival of Speed a few years ago and related the story to the owner, who claimed his was the very car used in the photo shoot! Still in its original paintwork. Amazing. I was on holiday at the time I saw the clour supplement, and I see from my diary that this was betwen July 27th and Sept 8th, which narrows the publication date down a bit more. Although I can't run to a Miura, I do have a nice Espada - so at least I have the same engine!

Both of these leather pouches say Nuova Lamborghini on the front, which I believe dates these to 1980-1987. The first and third photo are the same pouch, hard to capture the correct color, it is actually a dark blue with polka dots. I assume they were originally for Countach and/or Jalpa. Anyone know if these are correct for a particular year or model of car ? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have one of these in black in my 1984 Countach. Will try to make a picture when I can. All the best.
