Both manufacture sports and supercars! Ferrari has made name in racing. Lamborghini did not! Ferrari's are mythical but Lambo's are rarer and more exotic.

Which one is your real dream car?

Lambo built some real dream cars. Impractical, stunning looks, very fast. The first Countach, the LP400 is beautiful IMO but not the easiest car to drive. Ferrari also built some similarly stunning dream cars but their goal was not necessarily simply to build the fastest car on the planet with the craziest styling, more to create the total package of driveability, beauty and exclusivity.

    I love both. :)

Hey Ton, you always start these "discuss" threads and never add your own opinion....come down off that fence.

We know you love the Countach more than the Testa but are too afraid of what Wolfgang might say ;)

Only Lambos i would consider are :

    Miura
    Diablo ( No roadster ..)
    Countach
    350/400 GT

I love the Miura SV but they still fall short desirability wise when compared to an equivalent Ferrari.

    Ha ha!

As you stated before Lamborghini's are absolutely beautiful, impractical, powerful supercars. Ferrari's are a bit more practical and indeed more drivable.

Both have pros and cons. Audi is turning Lamborghini on a technical higher level where it will start to compete with the Porsche 911. I think that this will destroy the charm and the passion of the Lambo. Ferrari is more and more conservative in its styling in the past few years. Also the production numbers have gone up dramatically which will make the cars less exclusive.

If I want exclusivity I will take the Lambo. If I want a real sportscar with beautiful driving and handling capabilities I will take the Ferrari.

Were you not tempted? What sort of condition?
That would be a good price for a LP400, but it's way too cheap for an SV.

I've always been crazy and dreaming about... Ferrari! That's my goal!

Lamborghini made/makes great cars too... but, for some reason, I'm far less intrested in those... I would always prefer a Ferrari! They just have that little something more IMO... can't really explain... :)

I really don't think so in my case... :)

Since I was a kid, I never was intrested in any other sportscar that much as I was intrested in Ferrari... and I'm pretty sure I never will.
Porsche, Lamborghini and many other car makers... nice cars, impressive sometimes... but that's it IMO... they just don't steal my heart like only a Ferrari can... :)
I'm loyal to the Maranello based "cavallino"! :)

    Simon,

I don't know if it was an SV. I just remember that it was a Miura. It needed some work.

    Alex,

I was exactly the same. But I changed a little bit. I am still in love with Ferrari but sometimes I cannot resist the beautiful shapes, colours, performance of another passionate Italian brand: Lamborghini. They are both beautiful. Nevertheless it would surprise me if I would buy a Lambo. :)

There is no "or", there should be an "and".

I don't care if it's from Bologna or Modena. My car needs as much power as I can get. And it also got the be able to give me that performance for road usage completely. As long as it's making the 300 km/h in under 40 seconds, has a vmax with 300+ and a time of under 8:20 for the Nordschleife, it fits my needs :D

Let´s step to the smalest models of Ferrari and Lamborgini:

F430 vs. Gallardo: Which would you prefer, particularly with regard to:

    - Preferred use on race tracks

    - Conservation of value
