This year we are starting a new holiday tradition and need all of your help! The Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families and their seriously ill or injured children who travel far to receive treatment at Portland hospitals. Please stop by our store and take a card off our tree. The cards have specific items that the houses need in order to operate. Gift cars and cash donations are also accepted. On Saturday Dec. 13th we will all gather here at GPI Lamborghini Portland as a group in our Lamborghinis or other exotics and delivery the gifts to the Ronald McDonald House. If you are unable to make the drive we will happily deliver your donation for you. If you would like to participate, please call anyone at the dealership for more information. Look I know I get bashed for being a GPI supporter, but I hope to not be bashed for being a supporter of a charity event that involves the things we love (cars) and the Ronald McDonald house! I know I have picked up a fistful of cards, and have gifts ready to go on the 13th, who else on the board does? This is a FUN event! Loud cars, holiday spirit, free coffee, etc. etc. Why NOT show up? Even if we are hurting a bit from the downturn in the economy, WE CAN ALL afford some toys, fuel etc. LETS DO IT! Lets have fun! Needless to say my wife and I will be there with bells on! Hope to see MANY of you fellow f-chatters there as well!
I have a card, too. Unsure if I'm dropping the gift by or will partake in the drive/delivery. I don't think the gifts need to be wrapped... I seem to recall seeing the items simply with bows on them. Erik, can you confirm this?
Thank you guys for taking the time and showing support for this great cause! Please just put put your donations in a shopping bag with handles so we can sort and carry them easily. I just want to say this is a community event and I want to encourage everyone to participate. Lets show Portland that exotic car owners care about those less fortunate than themselves in health, finances or in this case both. We are getting a lot of participation from our local businesses, clients and friends so thank you to those who have participated.
This is an awesome idea! It is a shame Portland is a little to far of a drive. If one of the dealers up here did this, i would be in for sure! -Matt
You do know, we do the RMH event every year in the late summer. It looks like Dean Burke will be heading it up from now on.
I believe one of the biggest toys for tots things is in Seattle...not sure, but I heard something to that effect. I'll be at this one either way! Gonna have to throw up the bat signal! LOL
Yeah unfortunately I haven't been into the car gathering thing until now, and it won't last much longer. I leave for basic in Feb, so enjoying as much as i can in the time being. I really liked the card idea though. It seemed like a cool way to get to know the dealerships a little better. The guys at FoS know me pretty well, but I'd like to meet some of the Lambo folks. If I wasn't working this weekend I would sure attend the NW Toy Run. Maybe I feel a cold coming on now! -Matt
I would suggest meeting at the dealership between 12:00 and 1:00PM and we will leave for a drive shortly after that. This is going to be a great yearly holiday event. I am suprised it has not been done in Portland before with the number of exotics we have in the area. Please give us a call if you have any questions etc... It is coming up this weekend, so no more procrastinating.

Thanks Adam, I know I can always count on you. I know the weather forcast is looking cold rainy and possible snow. I've done this on a motorcycle in worse! Anyone who comes out and supports the Ronald McDonald house with us this weekend will have the use of detail facility to clean up your car after the drive or whenever you would like to clean your car.
