    hello,

    after the holidays are concluded this week i am hoping to have a 1983 Lamborghini Jalpa inspected by a good shop in the Stafford Va area.

    any recommendations on shops / mechanics would be very helpful .

    assuming the PPI goes well i will be looking to have the car shipped here to Savannah Georgia.

    It would probably be best to get it checked out farther north, I used to live in the county just south of Stafford and there isn't much and I don't think anyone on here is local in Stafford.

    Lived and worked in/for Stafford for a long time. I cannot think of any shop that would inspire enough confidence. Much less on a Jalpa... Not many people will want to even touch it.

    Try Lambo Washington.

    You better have the car shipped to FOW or Competizione and Sports Cars. There is absolutly nothing in Stafford!

    my brother-in-law in stafford always did want to work on one of those foreign transmissions.

    The best Lamborghini mechanic in this area is Evans located in Ohio. This is who Compitizione calls when they have questions about Lambo's. If you are able to, call them and speak with George or Mike. See if they can talk with whoever does the PPI that way you know it was done right. Also you can see if you can fax the PPI results to them to review. I dont have their # with me but if you ask in their region I'm sure that someone can get it for you.

    that means alot coming from someone who lived in the area, i really appreciate the help. i will pay for the towing and PPI, but i need to make sure the seller is cool with it before proceeding, as i thought there would be someone " close " to him. i dont want to have to drag the car all over and bother him and his family.

    Sorry to hear about your misfortune with George.... he's never been anything but professional with me. Please post some pics of the Jalpa when you get a chance. I was looking at a white one for sale yesterday but I do not think it was the same one. I like them.

    Not to sound like an echo to the other posts.. but I actually LIVE in Stafford, VA.. There is no one here that I can think of that can do a PPI on that.. FWIW I take my Ferrari to Ferrari of Washington as has been mentioned above.

    The Pantera is another story.. :)
