Wow....I don't think I've ever seen Roy this mad in public. Shame....no good deed goes unpunished. Not in the same league but....I got stiffed on 5 months rent from one of my rentals. Guy kept promising...hard times...bad luck....sob stories. Oh well, I tried to help....not like the 200K Roy is out but it still sucks. So...is the thread over yet? Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice !
Josh... 1st.: congrats on getting the car back. 2nd: condition of the car... good luck with that. 3rd: the right thing to do. goes both ways... DID YOU REGISTER THE CAR? DID YOU LEARN ANYTHING? SCAMMING THE SYSTEM PUTS YOU AT RISK OF BEING SCAMMED. AND NOW THAT YOU WANT TO WHINE, YOU CAN FINALLY POST PICTURES YOURSELF. GIVE ME A BREAK. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CAR YUP. 2 weeks and not a word. and now... maybe his alarm clock finally rang... Doubt this thread will end any time soon...
Unbelieveable! It took you 2 weeks to notice all that??? Why didn't you speak up THAT DAY? Why did you accept the car if it wasn't in the same condition it was when it left? No one will step up Josh, this is the real world, not fantasyland. Did you ever go to the DMV and get a CA title and license plates? Good luck in life Josh. I wish you nothing but the best... You're going to need it!
Actually I don't think it did. The pictures were being taken as it was being offloaded from the truck it appears. Someone was probably smart enough to tell Josh to check the car for damages first thing because of the circumstances. Whoever was holding the car might have been pissy and decided to do some damage. Seems that is the case. I do not think Roy was the one holding the car. He doesn't seem the type to do something like that. Either way Josh needs a serious lawyer. This is f'ked up. Despite not registering this car in the first place this guy has been through quite a lot just trying to purchase a car. Imagine if all of this happened to you?
FYI, I have never seen this car in person, then or now, I have never had possesion of this car at anytime... AND till today I HAVE never been contacted by Josh or ANYONE associated with him in regards to any issues with the car when it got re-delivered to him..
And he still hopes someone will do 'the right thing' and pay for it to be fixed. Has he contacted anyone? A lawyer, the people who held it? Anyone? JOSH, as I said before LAWYER UP NOW!!!!!!!!!! I've won several cases against people 'holding' my car and either wrecking it, or returning in an abused state of condition. If you wait, you will lose. If you sit back hoping, you're going to get screwed even more. And you need to send the car off to have it inspected. How many more miles did it have upon return than when taken? Get rollin' bud.
I don't see pics of all the damage he indicated, but regardless, it's taken him over 2 weeks to mention any of this. I'd have gone over the car with a fine tooth comb before signing off and accepting delivery, and I'd have been on the phone to my attorney and Roy AT THE MOMENT I noticed any damage. IF he didn't do that, and IF he's waited over 2 weeks hoping someone will "do the right thing", what recourse does he have? At this point won't they just say it was fine when they had it, he must have damaged it himself? And no, Roy wasn't the one holding the car, as I recall from reading through this whole soap opera the car was sent back to the east coast somewhere.
Roy, Josh has still not answered hether he registered the car legally since he got it back. Do you know anything?
Man Josh just fix it on your own and drive the shyt! Shouldnt of opened your mouth up and said it 3weeks later! Now you have Roy pissed off..I knew this one guy I use to work with and he was also doing/saying weird things that just doesnt add up or make sense. He was a BIG muscular asian guy. We finally found out the reason of why he kept acting/being like that..IT WAS CUZ OF THOSE STUPID STEROIDS!!!! Im sorry Josh but they have messed you up just like the 35 yr old asian guy I knew. *True Story*
I know roy is out with some friends right now...I think I can make it to Seattle before he gets home and jack his computer from his house! Might cost me a few Pacifico's to keep him at the bar...but I think the mods will thank me later! Hauling A$$ to Seattle now! Kevin
Three weeks down the road, any reasonable human would have to question the veracity of any claim relating to any damage present on the car at the time of delivery. Josh could be the type of person to return a pair of soiled underwear a month after purchase, crying because they were dirty. Roy, I know of an establishment that will print any design onto toilet paper. Josh's picture was posted on this thread...you see where I am going with this. At least then you'd be able to find some tangible use and derive some small amount of joy from this mega-drama the muscle bound freak has caused you. And let the lad yammer on. I'm sure he'll have no difficulty in finding a lawyer that will accept 9 credit cards in the event he'd like to sue someone over these latest alleged imaginary ills perpetrated upon his car's unfortunate person.
Of course, you have proof that the claimed damage did not exist when you originally had possession of the vehicle? Who is to say you didn't cause the damage yourself? After all, did you not drive the vehicle for quite some distance with the check engine light on? Further, one has to question your ability to spot mechanical problems because you were unable to properly diagnose a flat tire while you were driving said vehicle.
lesson 101 = if you can't afford something, don't buy it. lesson 102 = if you can't afford something but bought it anyway, don't buy it on 7 credit cards lesson 103 = do your homework, read all fine prints before paying money or sign anything lesson 104 = first sight of something goes wrong, report to authorities and the seller (not anyone else) lesson 105 = register/insure your car as soon as you have bought the car, have the paper work ready while you pay the money lesson 106 = all the above is only common sense, nothing out of university lectures, lesson 107 = if you got into serious **** because you didn't apply to the above, its your own problem, shut up, move on, fix it, stop bothering other people about one/lots of mistakes you've done yourself.
That is really sad. I'd say there is a serious lesson to be learned here by Josh's actions. I hope everyone takes note I really feel for you Roy, having to be in the middle of this **** storm. You've done a lot to help this guy out and I believe everyone here has taken note of that. I commend you for it.
