From what I gathered one of the the victums was a 23 year old female, (Russian supermodel?) can I find someone to translate this? http://nacerno.blesk.cz/Clanek58115.htm
Shocking, shocking waste. Someone posted a worst way to die thread on Fchat just recently. Look at the photos in that link for the answer. IMO it doesn't get worse than burning alive. Seeing those charred corpses reminds me of that poor girl in the US who endured about 45 seconds worth of a car inferno, suffered 3rd degree burns to most of the body, but still survived. She went on to be the face of an anti drink driving campaign. There is almost a cruel sense of irony that a supermodel would die this way, but I guess death is death in the end.
sadly a local police officer died in a fire. He was parked on the side of the road running radar and also looking for DWI's. Car came over the hill at an estimated 100+mph hitting the back of the car dead on. The car bursted into flames and pinned his legs under the steering wheel. When backup and FD arrived, they could hear the poor officer screaming....Nothing could be done to save him....Definately has to be one of the worst ways to die.
That other crash was nasty!!!!!! Being burned alive, is just as bad as drowning I reckon. Or being eaten by a shark and maybe even being hanged.
A La. State trooper got hit the same way a few yers ago just outside of New Orleans. IIRC, he died from his burns. I do remember his accident was the catalyst for the class action lawsuit by police departments against Ford since all the Crown Vics tend to catch fire when rearended. I whine like a baby from a bad sunburn, I can't even fathom being really burned by fire! Dave
what a sad thing. both driver and police officer...not to mention the car too! i just hope u guys on the board who have supercars...pls pls...do drive safely!
I see snow in the pics. What in the world was the driver thinking taking that car out in those conditions. Maybe the roads were clean but still not the right weather for a lambo.
sad story, indeed. not known as a strong supporter of guns; however in this case, i'd have been thankful if one of the officers on the scene to put a bullet on my head as fire consumes my body.....
