I have been a Lambo guy for years and know a fair bit about them and other than blacking out the tail lights and a stereo upgrade I like to keep my Murci stock. But when it comes to Ferraris I dont know alot. I sold my 430 last week and bought a Maybach 62 because my back hurts bad and I needed it and have too many cars as it is. I had a CS for a while-good car.

I have had my Enzo for about 2 weeks, because right after I got it (April) I went to Africa/Europe for 3 months, then it was in the shop getting a new steering rack thus I have had the car to use for a short time. I was actually offered alot more than I paid for the car last week and turned it down because I like the car so much and I dont see alot on Enzo's on the market.

I just saw another thread about some Enzo with mods, which dosent interest me at all, A project like jim did is a different story because he created a different car.

    Finally my question:

I like my car just how it is with one exception I would like black wheeles, not black chrome(thats a fad) but matte black wheeles like I have on my GTR's. My question is, was that a factory option on the Enzo?, I think they are black on the FXX. Would putting black wheeles on it be considered a mod? If not do I need a new set of rims or can the ones I have be sent to the factory to be made black or is there an easier way of doing it? I dont want to mod the car at all. But I think it look better with black wheeles, Fererov tinted all the windows and I like that look too the silver wheeles just dont look right with the yellow/black tint. Just looking for opinions. thanks in advance

Eric , the easiest way i see for you to get what you want , is to order a new set of wheels from the factory. Keep them in your garage and have your current ones painted/powder coated at your local Ferrari dealer.

Black wheels were not an option that I have ever heard of. I've seen it multiple times, and it looks much better than stock so I agree with the post above. Buy another set from the factory and paint the ones you have.

If you're planing on keeping the Enzo for a long time I can sell you a very complete spares package including new wheels and tires, all body panels, etc. for much less then you can buy them from a Ferrari dealer...

Andrew's right. Simply paint your existing wheels to your taste or buy an extra set and paint those.

Just out of interest Andrew, why do you recommend Erics buys a new set too?

Yeah, I'd say if you're going to buy a new set then you should have those painted so you wouldn't mess up the *original* wheels. Not that it really matters but some folks are all about the original stuff.

Because Eric said he didnt want to mod his Enzo and the day he might want to sell the Enzo , a set of painted wheels will be considered as a modification to some potential Enzo buyers. So just to be safe id order a set of wheels and store them in my garage and refurbish/paint/powdercoat the current ones the way i want.

I kind of guessed that but just found it astounding that a set of powder coated wheels would be considered a modification, even if powder coated back to the original or as close to the original colour. It just seems silly to have to pay probably a five figure sum for something that hardly seems justified if you know what i mean.

Either way Eric, i would keep them silver as it shows off the lines better than black.
