I need two things to complete my scorpion. Do you have the metal wire clips that hold the stock air-cleaner box together (I'm missing one). I am also am looking for some pininfarina badges. I have the originals, but they are pretty rough. Here is my scorpion:http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135938927&postcount=45 as you can see, no badges. I am also looking for the little plastic ends on the bar on to which you roll and un-roll the fabric top.

Beta Scorpion I believe I do have the clip for the air filter box and I do have the badge but its not in good shape, you can get new one at International Auto Parts for about $25-$30 choice of plastic or metal.

Checked out the pics of your Scorpion, thats one clean Scorpion.

    Mike,

I'm not particular about the year unless there's a major difference between 76 & 77? Do you have any pics of what you've got?

    Hey, Beta Scorpion,

Wow, your Scorp looks great! I recently owned #149, and had it at the Canton Italian Festival last summer (light metallic blue). (I recognise that photo :))

I sold mine in December, and kind of miss it. It was as unmolested as yours (although had been subject to the elements more) until I replaced the carpet and put Beta wheels on it. It still had the aluminum heat shield below the spare, the fuse box cover and the panel that conceals it, and a lot of other little details that are long gone from most Scorps. I sold it to a guy in Zanesville, and he immediately tried to flip it on eBay . Have you seen it around, by any chance?

Again, great Scorp -- I'd love to see it in person! Makes me jealous! :)

Wow. Nice find and great project! It is neat how it has an 037 front clip. I would love to find where all the 037's are hiding at!

You have touched on one of the mysteries in the history of this particular car. The shape is very similar to the Group 5 cars
    http://www.homepages.hetnet.nl/~scorpion037/group%205&6.html#_Hlk466613546
It leads you to wonder if the original owner had access to a mold.

At projectlancia.com, if you look closely at the picture of the clip on the car as it is perched on the trailer, you can see a seam between the top & lower bonnet panels. In fact there are holes where zuess fasteners were mounted. It would be fair to speculate that when raced the top portion was always used and one of at least 2 lower air dams was used depending upon race conditions. Both the top and the lower part in the picture are now fiberglassed together.

Also at projectlancia.com, in the first picture (the one from '83 race) shows a different lower air dam.

The great news is 2 California enthusiasts have stepped forward and will soon have more info about this particular race car.

Drove the red one today. Taking it to carshow tomorrow and perhaps another the next day. Looking to sell though. One of the best cared for restored examples out there and comes with your spare roof trim.

The yellow one with 037 styling was supercharged.

I miss my Scorions, in a way. Small but fun. Slow but entertaining still. I owned 1191 and 0023. I parted two others out. Still using same of the hardware and relays to keep the 308 going! If you ever see either of these cars for sale let me know! 1191 is Ferrari red and 0023 is that funky green.

Scorpionism must be a genetic disease.
My red one is still for sale. Mounting a fuel cell up front to better distribute the weight helps any understeer.
