    Based on his nice 4 cylinder book, I bought Scaletti's recent 8 cylinder book.

    It is somewhat of a disappointment and, at least in a brief glance, the English
    translation does not appear to be very faithful to the Italian.

    At any rate, the drawing on page 13 appears to show that the crankshaft counterbalances
    were bolted on. Is this true? Anyone have any information on how this was done?

    Not uncommon, numerous engines have had bolt-on counterweights.
