Hello: I found an owners manual for a 1960 model. The book is in mint condition. Can a member tell me how I can find the value of it. Joe said I should post this question here. He only specializes in Miuras
    Thanks in advance/ Tony

Is it in English? If not, does it have the English language supplement?

Does it have the supplement for "chassis" models (PF coupe, Touring, and Zagato)?

The manual is in English, I am not sure what you mean by supplement, are you asking if there are two seperate b ooks or is it one book with two seperate sections.
I have only recently learned that there were 3 different variations.
I do not know which variation this book is for.
    How do I identify ?
Sorry for the spelling errors, I just p/u this tablet and best buy was out of stylus pens.
    /Tony

There were three different series of Flaminias based upon engine size and carburetion, but I'm only aware of two different owners' manuals. Both have a main section relating to the sedan, and then bound-in supplements for the more sporting Pininfarina-, Touring- and Zagato-bodied cars. The earlier one just says "Flaminia" with a 1960 print date, while the later one says "Flaminia 2.8" with a 1965 print date. The covers for different languages are in different colors, e.g. English is tan, German yellow.

Two weeks ago I was quoted prices for manuals of the same era for Alfa, Citroën and Willys by a well-known dealer and purchased several for prices of US$ 30 to 45.

If anyone has the later Flaminia 2.8 manual in French, English or Italian in excellent condition and is willing to part with it, I would pay generously.

    Don

I owned a Flaminia Touring GTL 2.8 3C for many years. I had the owners manual in Italian (the car had been personally imported from Italy by an earlier owner). It was the 2.8 manual with the chassis supplement included, not in mint condition. It went with the car when I sold it.

I have called around to a lot of companies that sell owners manuals and have learned a few things.
    1. Most have only reprints, these are usually in the $ 30-50 dollar range.
    2. Most American built autos were sold in relatively high numbers so the manuals are quite common, whereas exotic European cars that were built in relatively low numbers command a higher selling price.
I actually got a personal tour of one such outfit : Faxon Auto Literature in Riverside, CA., I spoke with the owner, Ed Faxon, he gave me a tour of his facility, it was quite impressive, I would'nt be lying if I did'nt say he had well over a million automobile related books of every type imaginable, think book shelves 20 feet high and 500 feet long/ 25,000 + sqft warehouse. He showed me how he makes reprints, the blank stock, the cataloging, the sorting room, the semi truck he uses to transport, etc ( he has a class A license like I do, so we are both professional drivers) . I found his advertisement in Hemmings.
About the only area that he had a limited supply of were Ferrari, Lamborghini and Lancia. He told me that anybody looking for an original anything by one of these marques would probally pay handsomely.
