do you still have 1519???? Do you still have xx19? I love this car which I owned from 2002 to 2014 and I should not have ever sold it!!!!
Love the car and livery but just couldn't take the two guys giggling all the time (especially the vlogger)...
NEW STRATOS A second car (except the one that we all know) made an appearance, this time painted in blue with yellow wheels (paying homage) and it looks extraordinary! (Driver is Paolo Garella who is an Italian Automotive Advisor active in the program management for the design, development and production of high-end tailor-made cars) Enjoy the pics: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Gorgeous New Stratos above. More or less the same color as my old SN 001882. On another car... Stratos Stradale SN 001527 is going to be auctioned at Monterey this August (no affiliation): https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/MO18/Monterey/lots/r0095-1974-lancia-stratos-hf-stradale-by-bertone/693248 The car is very low mileage and very original. It sold at the same auction in 2014 for $660,000. I will be surprised if it makes whatever its reserve is.
Piddled around on the Stratos the last few days. A lot more accessible than the Dino when you have the rear clip off. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Saw it at Cannery Row last weekend. I heard from the "owner" you need a donor 430 plus 550k Euro for the conversion. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Same here! The 550k eur would be more than enough to buy a real stratos stradale and you'd still have a ferrari 430 if you feel like driving a more modern car. Better yet, add a bit of money and get a period group 4 stratos...
I really want to like this car. I love the color, the shape etc. But the headlights don't work and make the car look like it has a face. A face that is confused or unsure of itself. The stratos is neither of those things!
Traditionally, the auction house will bid it up to near its reserve (this is know as the "chandeliers" in the audience) and then they hope the real audience is inspired. The market is down and this guy should just hold onto it and enjoy it.
Didn't see this here or the Dino thread but great interview with Gandini by Davide Cironi. BTW he has a whole series of excellent interviews with Stanzani, Materazzi, etc. For non-Italian speakers there are okay subtitles by you will be missing a lot of the subtleties, especially Gandini's comments on the Dino engine - ouch!
Yes, there are terrific interviews on Davide's channel. He's managed to get some important figures who are normally media averse (when was he last time you saw an interview with Gandini?). Also, he tries to remove (or edit out) himself as much as possible so it's all about the interviewee rather than the interviewer...
