Didn't want to hijack the "Grand Prix DVD" thread, but in case you didn't notice "Lap of the Gods" is apparently available on DVD now, along with an extra hour of video!!! Going to order mine right now...:)

I have Lap of the Gods on tape somewhere that i recorded off speedvision,(i miss the old days) but the sound is really bad, If you've never seen it, it is worth every penny. Prost at Monaco is magic

Lap of the Gods is absolutely fantastic and a must see for any GP fan.

As a side question: Why this fascination about something coming out on DVD? With my PC I can burn my own DVDs from just about anything. I realize the quality of a brand new factory DVD is better, but why lament and wait forever if just having it on DVD is such a big deal?

I guess the quality depends on how good your copy was. In my case the sound is bad so i see no point in burning it to DVD. To just buy it perfect from the manufacturer is usually best unless you happen to have a super clean file which i don't. Plus this DVD apparently has quite a few bonus features.
