    I just bought a Toshiba laptop. So far, I love it. My only complaint is that when using the touchpad pointer, it automatically selects something if I stay hovered on it long enough. Is there a way to shut that off where an item only gets selected if I click on it?

    I don't have my laptop with me but yes, it will be under the mouse settings in the control panel most likely.

    Click Start > Control Panel.

    Clicks Tools > Folders Options.

    Check Double-click to open item.

    Click Apply

    Click OK
