Here is another Daytona I am working on, the Lemans 1971 NART car. Whoever re did this cars restoration did it perfectly. I wonder if they read Ferrari Chat as we had a big thing trying to figure out what Le Club International was and how it was connected to Chinetti. Turns out the Chinetti's stayed there during races in Florida.

Finally finished getting the fueling area on the body work correct on the Interscope Daytona. Tricky on this car as it is not round. Will post pictures of the body finished without decals yet. It always takes longer than I think it will!! I am also finishing up the 1/12th 1962 Cunningham E Type I started 6 years ago and stopped and several other large and small models.

This looks like the Deaugostini website but just in France / French. I'm working on Senna's Lotus with Deaugostini, and they are horrible... they are late, it takes forever to get pieces, but eventually you get the model done. I'm about 3-4 months from the final package on the Lotus. I told my self no more Deaugostini models...but if they end up doing the P3/4 then I'll have to reconsider... but I think I'd rather pay for either a 6 month or entire kit...

Meanwhile I'm still gathering parts on the Agora GTO... its a great model... I've built one wheel.. and it was a trial, but the engine and interior look great... they are right on time and easy to work with... I'm not doing any more on the Lotus till I have all the parts, and will then finish it all at once. it is a nice model.

    Ferrari World...
I am building in parallel the GTO (about 50%) and the P4 which has just started in France. But I have seen quite a few videos of the P4 which was already marketed in Italy.
It seems obvious that the quality of details of the P4 is much higher than that of the GTO, which should be seen rather as a big toy, a sort of BBurago, and which requires quite a few additions / modifications for a slightly more realistic look.

Some pictures of the GTO : https://photos.app.goo.gl/X3z6CmFSLQQNsRbS6

Top Marques has released a selection of 12th scale Ferrari 330P4 models in Europe, including the 1967 Daytona winner. It is not 100% perfect, but has nice detail and excellent paint quality. There are photoetched body fasteners, instrument panel details right down to the switch tables. Unfortunately the safety belts are incorrect, but overall a very nice display model.

I'm waiting till I have all the parts and then will finish it all at once. I hate the waiting... I'm on the intercoolers and detail now, and should be using this time to super detail it, but just have not had the motivation.....

I was tempted to buy that P4, but I already have the 1/12th Hiro kit. Problem with Hiro's is they take a long time to build and have fit problems. The wheels are also to big on the Top Marques version, but Top Marques models always have great paint. I have the 1/12th Top Marques P4 coupe which I will turn into the Monza winner. I had to make new decals for it since TM put the roundels in the wrong position on the model. The models nose looks like a match for the Monza more than the Lemans #21 car. The real cars are all slightly different. On the #23 #0846 the Top Marques nose seems to be off, but somehow Burago managed to get it correct. Kind of funny.

My 1/12th Daytona 1975 Interscope update by the end of the week. 50-year anniversary of the Daytona 1975 on February 1st. The model will be done completely by then.

I have build 92-96 on the way now. So I am in about the same place as you. I have an old Tamiya 1/12 scale 641/2 F1 model I am starting on. Mostly I build 1/43.

I don't mind if the body shape is a bit off on the P4; it displays well and I enjoy it. I also have the MFH P4 kit and found the bodywork impossible to have opening panels and still have a good fit when closed, so I just built the chassis for display to go along with the TopMarques. The exhaust system took me a week just to fit and finish. No model is going to be 100% accurate due to material thickness and clearance, the bodywork should be metal not resin.

I 've never been a fan of the smaller scales... but that is just me. I usually have off the shelf 1/43 models... I think I have every Tamiya f-1 car they have produced and have some in multiples... so i have both Niki Lauda and Clay Reggazzoni's 312T, as well as Andretti an Ickxx in 312B, and Villeneuve and Scheckter in 312T4... team format. A lot my dad built and I inherited them. I love them more for that than anything else.

WOW! amazing work. I'm done with MHF, I think all the hype is crazy. I've built 3 1/12th scale kits and they were all terrible. the fit and was way off, and so bad that you end up making huge mods to just get a model that fits. My F-1 87 F1 car cowl fits terribly, mostly because the pop off valve is positioned wrong, and interferes with it. I guess if you want to reengineer the model you can come up with a good model, but I dont see it. The metal used is way too week, my Porsche 917 kit the suspension is so soft you cant lift the car without taking the wheels off, or you will cause damage, and also the wheel base on that model is way too short. if the kits were $100 ok. but at almost $1000 that is crazy.
In other news I just bought a Ferrari 312 from 1966 from a mexican producer... its a curbside kit in 1/12th scale, all resin... so this is my next challenge. to make it somehow look realistic and not a sculpture.

This is based on the 1/12th GT Spirit diecast streetcar model, not the Hiro kit.
