Has anyone used or had expirience with larini exhaust and cats on a 360 modena? I have a tubi system and am contemplating using larini cats in place of the oem cats but noticed they also offer the exhaust. Never one to miss a chance at something different from the crowd I was wondering.
I called Larini (and just about everyother manufacturer of performance exhausts) I asked them all to put mre in touch with someone who had one of thier products on a 328 - Larini were the only ones to do this. Suggest you give ythem a call - they may be able to put you in touch with someone who can demo one on a 360...
I drove a 360 with Larini recently, the sound is higher pitched than my tubi but to my ears not as nice sounding. Not as tuneful, more coarse. It reminds me more of my old 355. So the Tubi remains the one for me. However, as this is of course such a subjective thing and each person has different tastes I suggest you check it out yourself, you may love it. Some people swear by Capristo, which I dont like. I will say that the quality of the finish and welding on the Larini is just as high quality as the Tubi, definitely a very nicely made item, so no quality worries.
I had a tubi stradale back box on my modena with capristo test pipes - ridiculously loud for all those behind me. The test pipes had heat shields that cracked within 1000 miles of installation. I swapped to larini sports cats. Noise and quality of construction were much higher. Thoroughly enjoyed them and would recommend to anyone.
