Ralfabco: we have some young friends from Boston who we meet in LAS every October. They insisted on eating at CABO two years ago because it's outside and the view of strip. My wife and I just had beer and wife Vodka and tonic. The smell, the service, and one look at the food told me we made the right decision. Several of our Boston friends told me the next day the spent a lot of the night sitting, if you know what I mean.

Y'know Joker, we avoided Lago as our personal boycott because it replaced Circo, one of our favorites. The story was Bellagio wanted to make a bigger food prep space to expand HYDE their club next door. Earlier this month, we decided to do a small plates on our last night, it was close to ten o'clock and we had to fly out the next morning, so we gave Lago a shot. We had one of the old Italian waiters from Circo who we recognized, service was first rate, and so was the cooking. I'd go back again...they also have outside seating.

Both of us like Julian Serrano's tapas place in Aria and the menu at Lago looked good, so we gave it a shot. I'm glad we did; we'll be back. For as much as we liked it, it wasn't expensive either. It also didn't hurt that we did well at the blackjack tables after dinner.

I'm boycotting all MGM properties since they made locals pay to park.

It's the only way I can fight back this absurd decision. Haven't been to one since Jan.

So they opened the first Chick-fil-a in LV a few weeks ago. It's on Sahara just east if the 15, not too far from In and Out.

I heard the first day was crazy.

I drove by the area yesterday and STILL people are standing outside to get in!

Better than the soufflé at the Eiffel Tower restaurant at the Paris?!? If so, I know where the wife and I are going next time were in Sin City.

For a good view of the Strip/Fountains, the wife and I like Mon Ami Gabi. Prices reasonable, food OK, views great.

I agree totally on Secret Pizza. Love the white pizza there.

    No question. I've had both.

    Both good, Pamplemouse better.

But no view! LOL!!! It's --- weird! Just accept it. :)

Most romantic strip view restaurant is in Alize in the Palms. They even have love seat (aka side by side) seating.

Thanks! View ain't everything, as long as the vittles are good. As I recall, the steak restaurant inside Circus Circus wasn't kind of old in decor. But, the service was very good, ambience was good (once you blotted the walk through the casino out of your mind!), and we enjoyed our steaks very much.

Order the souffle' early. Normally the waiter will remind you at the time of your order. Worth it.

I went a couple of weeks ago for lunch. The line for the driver through snaked almost all the way back onto Sahara. The dine-in line was much, much shorter; only out the door by about 20 feet. BUT, they had people with touchpads taking orders of the people in line so all you had to do was pay when you made your way in. The system worked very well. I was impressed.

Tom. PM me if you are serious about Pamplemousse. The street "entertainers" are multiplying in front of Mon Ami Gabi faster than guys at the top of the interstate exit ramp holding signs. This is one of my sister-in-law's (they are local) favorite strip eateries. A few weeks ago, some dude had recorded background music and he sang with a VERY LOUD amplified PA, so loud we had trouble hearing one another (we were on the rail outside). The wait staff get complaints all the time; nothing they can do. I counted six street performers out front of M.A.G not including the Jesus is coming guy who has the megaphone and four foot high sing on a pole stuck down his pants. Our meal took maybe two hours and, like Godot, Jesus never showed.

I will! We're hoping to go out for a quick junket sometime this summer, but have a lot of work travel as well. Fingers crossed!

Gotta love Mon Ami Gabi, probably the best centralized location for outdoor seating on the strip. It never gets old, albeit lots of crazy performers, but it's the closest thing to being on the Paris Champs Elizee at 1/3 the cost. Food isn't bad either. Best time is when the sun sets just behind Bellagio, seriously beautiful view. Always ask for the outside rail tables, inside seating is way too noisy anyway.

If I'm in town I will go with you!

Yah the county has to crack down on street performers. They have on Fremont street. No more 99% naked fat men in diapers panhandling.

No, but I do know for a fact that there is a giant, fat "nun" with humongous boobs who hangs out topless (with pasties) for pictures. She may or may not have posed for pictures with a law firm award we won. Allegedly, she put her boob (singular, because they're huge) in the trophy cup before it was sent off to the next office.

On Mon Ami Gabi: They will take reservations for inside but for outside one has to sign up at the hostess stand...no reservations so wait times can be long. They won't seat you outside unless everybody in your party is standing there with a beating heart.

I've never had to wait longer than 30 minutes since they probably have 150+ patio seats, and with all the slots nearby, the wait is easy ;)

Went there one time, had a reservation. When I checked in with the receptionist, I mentioned that I had a reservation and would like to sit outside. As I was doing this, I slipped her a $50. She handed me a buzzer, and told me that outside was first come, first serve, and the wait could be up to an hour long. I took the buzzer and walked out into the casino. Made it to the first row of slot machines (probably only a couple of minutes), when the buzzer went off. When I got back to the receptionist desk she took us to our outside table with a great view.

^ If you're in the Caesar's Palace loyalty program, ask your host to make the reservations, choose a later than usual time, and, as above, tip generously. This plan has a 75% success rate for us.

I ate at Delmonico's in the Palazzo/Venetian on Sunday night. I do enjoy that place and recommend it. I probably go there 4 times a year.

Mon Ami isn't affiliated with Caesars, nor is the Eiffel Tower restaurant above. Best to show your LEYE membership card which is free to join, that gets better results than even a Seven Stars status player's card. Just an FYI.
