What hotels have you stayed at in vegas and how much did you pay for accomidations. ? I havent personally stayed at any just visited while staying in lake haviasu in Arizona.
I was little for both of these do i dont remember how much, it was probably paid for b/c we were with a baseball team. Ceasers Palace and New York New York
Don't "F" around... stay at the Four Seasons. If not: Mirage- love the casino Venetian- biggest rooms Bellagio- make sure you get a room by the elevator! Mandalay Bay- nice Rio- good energy Paris-ehh Caesars (new tower)-spa tubs!!! The Luxor is cheap. DL
only done Golden Nugget (suite was fun - must of been a few thousand square feet), Venetian (would do again - great rooms), Bellagio (SW erra - ok, expensive restaurants were a let down), Mandalay Bay (avg), Treasure Island/Mirage (avg). I think I'm missing a few, lots that aren't memorable at all - will have to try the 4Seasons though.
mgm grand - room was comped, i only slept in it and was too tired to even care. all in all it was good.
I been inside ceasars palace looked really cool, The luxor is cheap? Hmm didnt know that the inside and pool area looked really good. I think the venician and bellagio looked great although I didnt stay in any of the rooms the inside was really good. How where the resturants a let down. ?
huge prices, long lineups, awful service, average food. The usual "conference hotel" attitude stuff. Maybe 3-4 years ago at the Bellagio. We only were able to sample 1-2 of them, and there's a good chance they could do a much better job without 1,000 people waiting outside their doors for food with only seating for a few hundred. Reminds me - we did have a few great Italian dinners at the Venitian restaurants. stellar. Of course I didn't get to see the bill, but imagine it wasn't cheap. There was also a great little restaurant years back at Treasure Island (before Bellagio etc were built) on the 2nd floor behind the facade. Sounded like there's a long list of high-end eateries hidden away from the masses in Vegas. In Treasure Island it was on the 3rd floor by special elevator pass only, at least ten years ago or so. Not my lifestyle.
Imperial Palace. Its right across the street from Caesars and next door to Harahs. It isnt the nicest place on the strip, but I loved it. I would never stay at the MGM. WAY too big. My ankle is still swollen from all the walking on fight night. Im going back in March for the NBA tourney and will prolly stay at Imperial Palace, but I thought about staying at the Aladin before it changes next year. Which 4 Seasons are we talking about? The one that is a few miles outside of town? It was on The Genuine Article last year.
The Four Seasons (top 4 floors of Mandalay Bay) is nice if you want to avoid the hassles of the casino scene check in etc. Private elevators. lobby, Pool concierge, etc - but connected to the Mandalay with all associated privs. You will get automatic entrance to the HOB Foundation room by staying in the Four Seasons. Downside - no comped rooms for wagering. On the expensive side for Vegas - about $300 per night I think. Alternatively stay in "The Hotel" in the Mandalay Bay. Every room is a suite. It is their hotel within a hotel. Kinda swanky - a al W Hotels. I think the rate is around $300 vs $200 for the regular Mandalay rooms. Rates vary by day and occupancy. Use the internet. If you are looking to get comped on play - be advised it takes some serious play to get comped at Mandalay, Caesars and Bellagio these days. E.g. your average blackjack bet will have to be North of $100 per hand for more than 6 hours to get comped the room. Note the Mandalay has a good semi private pool with lots of topless action (if you like that sort of thing). Darth's list below is good. You can't go wrong with Caesars or Bellagio. MGM does not do much for me and the Imperial Palace is about the most disgusting place on the strip. I stayed their 10 years ago for a conference and the rooms were disgusting
LOL. Like I said, it isnt the nicest place, but its fun. Hotel rooms in vegas are for sleeping and sleeping only. Visited a room @ Harrahs (next door) and it was far worse. Even smelled like mold. Anyone know anything about the 4 Seasons resort outside of town?
Why not send an unsolicited email to Kirk Kerkorian, asking him to go into a land deal in Texas AND a room comp? Come on man, you've got guts...DO IT! DL
no flame imperial palace is the worst place to stay, but it is in the middle of everything, i have stayed at almost every hotel in vegas. the worst ones i have stayed at 1. imperial palace (only if you really just want a place to sleep) 2. riveria 3. stratosphere 4. bob stupecks vegas world (got blown up) 5. luxor 6. excaliber 7. holiday inn on the strip. the best i have stayed 1. belliago 2. mirage 3. ceasers 4 tr 5 monte carlo etc etc come to think about it all these places sucked because I lost at every one. john i am calling my travel agent right now to go to win it all back
I won alot at Imperial Palace. I liked the place, so eh. Its not upscale, but I was suprised how many well off people I met while I was there. I especially enjoyed the dealertainers. I do want to stay at the Bellagio one time at least. Just for the Oceans 11 experience, lol.
You would like to think so wouldn't you? You get pleasure from trying to flame me for something you know nothing about?
Whats wrong with the luxor that place seems to really attract me for some reason I guess because its different.
I haven't heard anything really good about Luxor. I would recommend people stay at the Alladin and the San Remo one before they change in the next two years. Alladin is becoming Planet Holywood and San Remo is becoming Hooters.
Actually i took my two youngest daughters (age 9 and 11) out there 2 years ago to see the magic shows etc, stayed at the Paris and the kids really enjoyed that.
