I have just finished hardwiring my Valentine 1 in my 355 spider. I ended up using the suction cups and putting it just to the left of my mirror. The other method of using the visor clip did not work in my case as it just wiggled around and seemed to be up too high and pointing slightly down...
So after reading the archives on here and hearing about the Blinder Extreme 20 laser jammer, I am thinking about getting one. Has anyone installed one of these puppies themselves? Seems to be pretty straightforward... I plan on installing the 2 units on the front (spoiler) where the black "grates" are on the 355. I have measured and think they should fit fine. How do I run the wires from there to the inside of the cabin through the firewall? I belive it is just the equivalent of phone wire (or similar). I can take it from there, as I do not feel too crazy about having some 17 year old car audio installers climb all over my car, seats, etc....

What are people's experiences with the Blinder units? I was originally thinking about the escort shifters, but seem to like the blinder units better.

    Any help would be apprecaited!

I installed my Blinder by running the wires under the plastic tray, just take out a few screws under the bumper, and then fed the wires up the water drain tube to the top of the trunk compartment. I then ran the wires to the area in front of the driver’s side where there is a compartment. In there I found 1 hole through the firewall that I could share with a cable. After that I was home free. Let me know if you need pictures. I have a 360 and don't know how different they are internally but hopefully this will help you figure it out.
Also, a little hint that worked for me, use black caulk/silicone to mount the two laser units and hold them in place with tape until they dry. This way you don't have to drill any holes in your Ferrari. To test the unit, I bought a laser range finder, (I don't have access to a laser gun) to check the sensitivity and get an idea of how it works, it gave me some interesting results.

That's illegal in 27 countries. Next time try wrapping the tape.

I had one installed professionally on my 355 in the grill. You need to cut into the face of the grill (behind the horizontal slats) or the jammer will protrude about 3/4". My guy installed the warning light on the right side of the center air outlet to the right of the red anti theft light. The on/off switch is hidden beneath the dash.

Your welcome, a friend of mine told me yesterday that he has access to a laser gun and told me he would let me borrow it. After I test it out I will let you know the results. After using the laser range finder, and reviewing some video footage on a website http://www.jasonsvideoproductions.com/stuff%20for%20the%20web/theguysoflidar.htm .I believe that if you are within 450-50 feet from the car you have about 8 seconds before the laser can get a reading (plenty of time to slow down), but at about 450+ feet the car is virtually invisible. It's pretty cool!

If so I will use a directional cell phone jammer directly when I do not want others to know my position and it will be even better to use the pone and GPS blocker as it can cut off the signals of mobile phone and GPS signal tracking device at the same time and really perfect.
