Haywire...$1.40 at RB. Decent spy/action, good cast, worth the rental but not a theatre ticket.

Guys... Iron Sky is not for everybody. It's a low budget semi-amateur project. Lots of unlogical stuff, crappy effects and Internet pop references. But watch it with light expectations and you will enjoy it! Some of the scenes are so hilarious!

Nice breathe of fresh air compared to so many over the top Hollywood productions!

Saw 21 jump street. Not very good. Every 60 seconds there's an oral sex reference of some kind. I think the writers ran out of imagination. The last 10 minutes are just stupid.

    Pass.

I agree, I had high hopes for it. Some old school action... But it was "just another comedy" :(

Corionalus. Pretty good if you don't mind Shakespearean dialogue. Ralph fiennes was fantastic.

I thought the same. Good movie, but better than The Social Network to win Best Picture? Nah.

Caught Thin Ice on download last night. Not bad. Kind of Fargo-esque but not nearly Coen Bros. good.

Finally got around to watching Iron Sky this weekend. I thought it was pretty entertaining. Good European B-movie. I actually thought the effects were pretty good considering they were probably done on a fairly modest budget. Did have a bit of that kind of typical 'soft anti-Americanism' element to it, eg. warmongering Sarah Palin dropping bombs on the 'innocent' Nazi women and children on the moon, but I think the satire was pretty evenly spread. Some here may not appreciate that though! ;)

Watched "New Years Day" on the plane today.

It's just BLAH. It's not particularly funny, not particularly interesting, and not particularly romantic.

The only shocking thing is how old Michelle Pieffer looks in it. I hardly recognized her and she's one of the major actresses in it.

Contraband - I liked it, it didn't get too high of a score on IMDB, but it was captivating and had a cool story. Not sure why the preview/trailer included an Enzo as the movie didn't have it.

MIB3 IMAX 3D. I went in expected to be disappointed, but walked out smiling! This should have been part 2, and the other part 2 should never have been made.

Also saw it IMAX 3D. Got dragged to it and went in with ultra-low expectations. Enjoyed it.
