Got to check this out! Thanks for the tip. Saw Men in Black 3 this weekend. Lots of fun... silly, funny, good times.
Guys... Iron Sky is not for everybody. It's a low budget semi-amateur project. Lots of unlogical stuff, crappy effects and Internet pop references. But watch it with light expectations and you will enjoy it! Some of the scenes are so hilarious! Nice breathe of fresh air compared to so many over the top Hollywood productions!
Saw 21 jump street. Not very good. Every 60 seconds there's an oral sex reference of some kind. I think the writers ran out of imagination. The last 10 minutes are just stupid. Pass.
Teen a Go Go on Netflix, a friend of mine just released her first documentary about Rock & Roll bands & clubs of the 1960's in Fort Worth, TX. Be sure to check out if you can.
Man on a Ledge. Outstanding; the plot was ingenious and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. -Gil
Finally got around to watching Iron Sky this weekend. I thought it was pretty entertaining. Good European B-movie. I actually thought the effects were pretty good considering they were probably done on a fairly modest budget. Did have a bit of that kind of typical 'soft anti-Americanism' element to it, eg. warmongering Sarah Palin dropping bombs on the 'innocent' Nazi women and children on the moon, but I think the satire was pretty evenly spread. Some here may not appreciate that though!
Watched "New Years Day" on the plane today. It's just BLAH. It's not particularly funny, not particularly interesting, and not particularly romantic. The only shocking thing is how old Michelle Pieffer looks in it. I hardly recognized her and she's one of the major actresses in it.
Contraband - I liked it, it didn't get too high of a score on IMDB, but it was captivating and had a cool story. Not sure why the preview/trailer included an Enzo as the movie didn't have it.
MIB3 IMAX 3D. I went in expected to be disappointed, but walked out smiling! This should have been part 2, and the other part 2 should never have been made.
Smoke. 1995 indy drama/comedy, Harvey Kietel, John Hurt, Stockard Channing. Great find on the part of mrs.
