The Queen of Versailles Absolutely brilliant docu- (mocku?) mentary about the rise and fall of a time share tycoon and his stereotypical trophy wife and their ridiculous lifestyle.
Watched Buck yesterday, a good documentary about a horse trainer. Just finished Captain America, good but not as good as I was expecting considering the hype it got.
one of the best documentaries i have ever seen^ right up there with Senna, though that's really apples to oranges
The Descendants. Ok movie but chock full of cliche and convenient plot points. It's all been done before many, many times.
"The Intouchables". Loved every minute of it!!! I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't complete crap
Wild Bill. British gangster/slum/drugs style flick. Great stuff. 9/10. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1795702/ [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyquUziG0SA[/ame] If you like tough British movies like This Is England and Dead Man's Shoes (worth checking it out!! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0419677/), you should watch Wild Bill. Not as witty as Snatch or Rock'n'Rolla, but definitely cool.
"The 6th Day"... yes, I am catching up on a backlog of movie watching. Much better than expected! I don't even remember seeing this movie advertised.
Going to private screening of Bourne tomorrow night. I hope it doesn't suck like Prometheus. I have tempered expectations to me Matt Damon is the franchise.
The Intouchables Probably one of my favorite 'foreign' movies, and probably one of my top 10 movies so far. Incredible that it was based on a true story. Also, it has a Maserati QP Sport GT S which made it even better! Love the sound they make!
I have my concerns aswell simply because I love the 'Bourne' trilogy w/Damon but it seem's this 4th installment delves deeper into the whole Treadstone/Blackbriar 'black ops' programs. I read an interview with Matt Damon awhile back and he is more than ready to continue his role as Jason Bourne so lets hope he returns.
Was bored today and watched Captain America on netflix. Wasn't bad, but not great...I really like the WWII-era machinery in the film. Pretty cool designs that keep a modern look. Here are some renderings of them: http://www.freshnessmag.com/2011/11/22/marvels-captain-america-vehicles-by-daniel-simon/ Oh and Hayley Atwell wasn't lookin' too bad.
