I saw "The Campaign" last night. One of the funniest movies I've ever seen. What was made it even funnier was the handful of older folks who walked in thinking it was a movie about the actual presidential campaign; guess they thought it was a documentary. They walked out after the first 5 minutes. :p

I watched Romancing the Stone last night.....still good!! Jewel of the Nile is on tonight. IIRC it wasn't near as good as RTS though.

The Hunger Games. I give the book 9/10. The movie 7/10 tops. No comparison.

Just saw The Three Stooges on the airplane.

    Meh.

Could have been a lot better but the impressions are pretty good. The problem is they story is really dull.

Best part: Kate Upton as a nun lifeguard. :)

The Dictator last night. Watchable, a few good laughs and sight gags. Three Stooges was much better.

Or go to university . . . there's nothing but Obama^3s pounding these ideas into Humanities students.

Saw a documentary on one of the most revered sushi chefs in the world, Jiro Ono (iTunes). He owns an unassuming, ten seat place in a Tokyo subway station. THREE MICHELIN STARS! The film was OK, more tribute than revelation.

I'm told this is the place Steve Jobs refers to in his blockbuster biography, but I can't vouch for that.

A plot would be nice, as opposed to this realist/naturalist thing we've got going for almost half a century now.

    I did too.

Reminds you of the Star Trek Menagerie episodes.

Kurt Russel not a good actor IMO.

Just watched Dario Argento's 1975 horror classic Deep Red.

    Brilliant, campy and gory.

Love his stuff more than the Halloween and hockey mask series.

just watched Act Of Valor. pretty good, terrible acting/script but enjoyable action. giving away the ending of the movie at the beginning was kinda lame... never really got to understand the motivations of the antagonists but i guess that wasn't really the point, other than the religious reasons. for a (almost) 2 hour navy commercial, it was not terrible. i'd recommend renting it. if you are big on home theater, the first hostage rescue extraction is a surround sound extravaganza lol

I watched "Of Mice and Men" again yesterday with Gary Sinise and John Malkovich and I think it is a great movie although I have never read the book. Ray Walston was a cinematic treasure imo.

Totally agree. It actually shows, how powerful the human mind can be. Senna was always convinced that he can be the best, that he can do it. What a legend.

Senna was a great movie...I can't believe it didn't win any Oscars. It very well deserved some sort of recognition from the Academy.

While watching 'Formula 1 Debrief' lastnight Senna was the #1 driver on SPEEDS "Ultimate Grid" selection, I thought it was well deserved. I have not watched SENNA since I recieved it months ago but maybe after tomorrows race I will watch it again.

Lawless. Great movie. It was more violent and gruesome than I expected - in a good way.
    Very well acted.
