Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, it's currently on Amazon Prime.
Three Billboards was really good. I'm a Sam Rockwell fan and he certainly earned an Oscar for that one. The Shape of Water was overrated imo. They did a good job with wardrobe and set design, but I think the rest was not that good. I'm not sure why it won best film and director over Three Billboards.
Thor ragnarok. Entertainingly funny but not such that it ruined the action scenes, had me laughing a number of times, almost Deadpool style comedy.
Is it worth watching? As a reference, I had to try twice to get all the way through "The Force Awakens," but thought "Rogue One" wasn't too bad.
No, it's a terrible movie. They really are going full out money-grab on this Star Wars stuff. Rogue One was better.
I saw three Billboards on the airplane. I agree its really good and an unusual kind of movie. But its also REALLY DEPRESSING!
Totally agree. That last SW movies as a complete let down. Rogue one is good but still over the top cartoony / silly and I didn't like the ending. But, much better than the last SW movie IMO
Well, I didn’t like Oldman’s rather foppish impersonation. I liked the movie but Churchill didn’t come across as much more than a good bureaucrat. And I don’t believe everyone was so against him. It’s a cartoon but not accurate. But a good movie none the less. The best part was his understanding that he believed Hitler’s peace terms would be the England who be a subject to him and all its territories. At that time in history, Churchill was a unique voice in the world.
Gonna thank you and The Mayor for the input. Think I'll skip it, until it is on Netflix or whatever. Sad. I was TOTALLY into the original & Empire Strikes Back. Nothing after that was quite the same.
Justice League Wonder woman is hot to watch Aquaman is kinda cool. The only person with some personality and fun. The Flash is a Spiderman rip off Superman is weak from weak writing Batman is really, really weak. Aflac is the worst. I thought he was bad in Batman vs Superman. This one is painful. And why do ever one of these Super Hero movies have "a cube" with amazing power that can destroy the world?
Blade Runner redux. IMO, a total waste of time. 90% of it is like watching unemotional robots talk. Nothing in it was breakthrough like the original. Holagrams? Really? They didn't see Star Wars in 1977? And the ending--- ugh.
I just saw this also. It's not bad as musicals go. Will go down in the top 1000 of all time. The females in the cast do a great job. Jackman and Efron? Well... parts of it made me think of Hail Caesar, which has a spoof of musical numbers. I wonder if every musical dance number from now on between men will be forever compared with this:
So many people said it was awesome. It was a complete waste of time and money. Another complete waste is the new Star Wars movie. An amazing failure on every single level. Get this: they ran with the FIRST draft of the movie. No revisions or rewrites.
I came in with low expectations for both and was even more disappointed when I saw them. Blade runner; ugly flying cars? check holigram advertising and characters? check hookers of the future? check LA raining and gray? check Multiculturalism? check Figure a way to include Harrison Ford? check It's like they had a check box for stuff they wanted to include.
