Pixar's new movie Soul on Disney+. Very well done as are most Pixar movies. Trent Reznor of NIN (one of my favorite bands) did the music, too.

Agree with you on Soul. Watched it with family and the rewatched it alone. So many thoughtful themes on what motivates and satisfies us. Very well done. Worth it for the original Jazz pieces and I think Jamie Foxx is a brilliant actor even in animation.

Echo in the Canyon, July 2019. I don't do many movies, at home or otherwise.

I cannot even begin to guess when the last time I was at a big movieplex, maybe six years ago?
Echo I saw at one of those 300 seat neighborhood theatres.

The Night Of The Hunter. 1955.
Oh my, this is such a great movie!
Robert Mitchum, best performance of his career. Lillian Gish? Let's see, she more or less invented cinematic acting, and this is one of her best performances...T

Pretty cool future space travel tech and CGI, but man what a terrible storyline and events for nearly 2 hours...

    "Rambo - Last Blood."

Seemed more brutal than the others. Wouldn't suggest it, unless you are hooked on the "franchise."

They had a cool idea but flubbed it pretty hard. I watched it a 2nd time and it didn't get any better.

News of the World with Tom Hanks. Decent flick, which is a rarity these days.

The Seals were lucky that the compound was so lightly defended. And there could have been booby traps anywhere. There is some controversy over who actually killed Bin Laden. The movie appears to show Bissonette's version. Very brutal and detailed.

I finally sat through all of "Plan 9 from Outer Space" on TCM. I'd seen bits and pieces but never actually watched it as "a movie" before.

And, it is a really bad movie. Acting, sets, special effects, continuity, editing-- you name it. But I think even worse is some worthless dialogue between people that have nothing to do with anything. A complete bore which is death to a Sci-fi movie. Also lots of filler using obvious stock footage. The Bela Lagosi shots are completely laughable -- not to mention he was already dead 2 years.

But, as a Sci-fi /horror concept its not a terrible one for the times. Basically its a zombie movie wrapped around The Day the Earth Stood Still. George Romero took it to the next level years later.

You have to suspend disbelief if you're going to watch P9FOS! It's so laughably hokey & oddly crafted, it beggars belief. As you said, the dialogue is the highest of the low points in this movie. But, 50+ years later, people still talk about it!

    More like "Lifeforce" 1985.

Plan 9 was Lugosi's last film.

Garbage. The soundtrack does not match any of the scenes. The cast is vapid. I couldnt be bothered to watch more than 1h of it. The concept was super interesting though.

    More details about cute actress!

    Early Barbara Stanwyck movies today.

The Locked Door, 1929. Her first talkie. Pot boiler. Rod LaRoque - sets a standard for smarmy heel. BS looks great. Impressive how good she is being very recently removed from being a Broadway chorus girl.

    Mexicali Rose, 1929. Not good...T

About Alice Isaaz, she has not only a beautiful cinematic presence, but also an interesting playing, full of strong temperament.
I met her in the street of Paris in 2017, she is a ''bubbly'' girl, full of energy … and a little crazy too.
A kind of girl you meet one or two times in a life

I'm not a huge horror movie buff but I watched the first saw and really got into it ended up watching 1-4. Like the way the story kind of twists at the end not so much into the blood and gets.
Also watched southpaw and thought Jake Gyllenhaal was excellent in it.

Great movie, I love Five Million Years to Earth and have watched it 5 times probably. I love Roy Ward Baker's work, they are unusual and very cool for that.

    Nobody.

If you like John Wick, or The Equalizer, you'll like Nobody. Very nice balance of humor and violence.
