last night's Lost

I'm about one episode away from giving up on "Lost". It's the only network TV show I have been watching, but I'm tired of having my chain yanked when there's nothing on the end of the chain. They need a better premise. I mean come on, an airliner breaks in half above the ocean, and all those people survived with no injuries? But I guess a show called "Dead" might be a bit of a yawn.

 

Mid season series: "FOUND". The "LOST" survivors run across a shipwrecked crew from the 1960s who had been on a 3 hour tour. Unfortunately for the LOST survivors, both Ginger and Mary Ann are looking old and haggard by now. Time to look for Jeannie in a bottle. She was already 400 years old when she popped out of the bottle for Major Nelson.

 

throw ina civilization of talking apes, a bottle of whiskey and a 2 litre of coke and im in. the whiskey and coke is for me.

 

I am starting to lose interest too... They have to keep moving the plot forward... I can understand the personal flashback - which are interesting. But now I feel like they are just trying to add cast members during each episode...

Did you notice all of the new faces popping up in the background? Part of me believe that the writers painted themselves into a corner, and now are trying to go backwards...adding new characters, etc...

The next episode better be good.

 

This weeks episode was a waste. I'm also getting tired of it. They need something big....quick.

 

Waste?

It advanced the story soooo much.

I showed that they really are all dead and in purgatory.

goodwin is a good angel. He pointed out that the others only took the good one. Not like Nathan who only took the bad ones.

The book referenced in last nights show was the bible.

It showed that the big guy did not talk for 40 days after killing two of the others.

The others are in barefoot.

Shannon died only after she realized that she was excepted for her being her from Siad.

It was a HUGE show last night.

 

Matteo - can you recap last nights show further? I only watched the first 10 minutes and got tired of it (They were introducing the other survivors). Sounds like you caught a lot of symbolism, bravo! The show makes a helluva lot more sense in light of what you said...

So, the island is purgatory? Anyone else get that? Hell, if I were still in highschool I would probably be writing a book report right now. Hope I didn't erase the TIVO recording.... .

Every episode has a book reference. Sawyer is a big key to that because he reads in almost every episode.

The people left on the island all have unresolved issues. Once they are resolved, they die on the island.

Also, Anna had kids that died in the crash.

 

More on the books and the tie in with the show. Remember the polar bear? it's there because Walt was reading that comic book and the page it was on had the big white polar bear in it. That comic book was his favorite and enjoyed reading it.

The show also show his power in a flash back when he is laying on the floor reading the book about all sorts of birds, he mentioned one of them being his favorite bird and nearly seconds later that exact bird hits the sliding glass door..

 

Also, I thougth of this after the show. Siad was in the war on the Iraq side. Anna was in the war (she knew about the army knife in way too much detail) on the US side. I BET that they know each other.

 

i d/loaded until episode 7 of the season 2. is that the latest episode now? i tried to fing episode 8 on the net, but don;t have yet. my guess is the 7th is the latest? btws, in malaysia, they have't even started screening the 1st episode of the season 2

thanx dude, actually, malaysia, they finished the 1st season long long ago, but crap part is, they keep screening the 1st season over and over again. i just dunno what the heck for! anyways, i use limewire to d/load, so far i d/loaded till episode 6, the part where shannon gets shot by michelle rodiguez
