i'm still waiting for this episode to download. I just watched last weeks episode. Anyone else think Hammond looks different somehow? I'm thinking he may have had some plastic surgery or something after the wreck.
Amazing. What a fantastic car, and I have decided that I do like the look of it too. Top gear is my favorite car show by far, I wish we had new episodes here in the States.
Incredible video. The car's still blobby-looking, but given what it does ... incredible. I agree, Top Gear's the best. I can't believe it wouldn't be a hit over here. Have we ever had a good car program in the States? Or a change of pants... The other thing that struck me is that the VW/Ehra-Lessien straight section was 5 miles. That sounds like a lot, but: At 60mph, that's 5 minutes until you're out of arrow-straight asphalt. At 120mph, that's 2:30. At 240mph, that's 1:15. At 253mph... And you probably don't want to be doing anything like 253mph when you come up to the next bend. Probably good not to go with the cheapie brake pads, IMO.
Holy crap. That to me is why the Veyron is on my top. So comfortable but a true monster at the same time.
The thing that blows my mind is not that the car can do this kind of speed, but that it is finaly filmed! You hear 407 all the time, but I was waiting for some playboy to hook a camera inside the cockpit and hit the Autobahn at midnight. This is what we have been waiting for. Very nice.
