The only response I can think of to a bear looking like that at your tent door is a well-placed .44 Magnum (or larger) round. I've read in books that a bear's forehead is sloped at a 45-degree angle and made of thick bone, so hunters say not to aim for the top of the head. The bullet bounces off and it just makes the bear even more angry. Supposedly the chest area is the best target.
Sorry, seems it's a "shopped" photo. The bear pic is ID'd as coming from a stock photo and some narrative of the event says the incident took place in the dark, requiring flashlights. http://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/8myqo/michio_hoshino_a_photographer_known_for_his/c09sq6s http://www.gopednation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=285588 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Reminds me of this time I went camping and passed out drunk during a storm while this girl ran around securing everything that was blowing away. She looked just like that bear when she came back into the tent all pissed off that I didn't help.
