Last Run in Ark City Sep 26,27, and 28

I wanted to give everyone a heads up on the last car show of the season down in Brian's neck of the woods. I am throwing this out way in advance so everyone has an opportunity to lock it in on their schedules. It is usually a good time on Saturday then events go on in the evening. Maybe a good day for a Cowley 20 thrashing? What do you think Brian? I'll post a link.

That is our hometown and favorite car show!!! I took my 2005 Ford GT (#1365) last year. I will be taking my 2001 Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 this year and will take my Murcielago next year.

 

It will be a great time.

Yes, I am driving the 6.0 down. I plan on leaving Friday morning sometime. I am looking forward to meeting all you guys. Brian, how have you been and any new updates? I finally, just sold the 1998 Diablo SV last week. They picked it up last Thursday evening and it is heading to New York. This sale has been a long journey!!!

Why don't we all hook up Saturday morning downtown in Old Town on 2nd Street at the Courtyard by Marriott. They have an excellent breakfast buffet. I think it cost around $8, so no one will have to wash dishes. From there, we can head on down. Scott, good question as to registration, I'm rollin down as spectator, but it should be in the link somewhere at the top of this thread. If not, Doug do you know? I am planning on stayin the night down in Ponca so I can go to the evening events (dragraces and street cruise), so if anyone feels like hangin out a while there's an excellent steakhouse called the "Rusty Barell" in Ponca that we could go to dinner at and then backtrack to Ark City for the evening events. If all else fails we can go gambling...Brian, How was Eureka ? I'll bet it was awesome even in the rain. Bring home anything that you didn't go up there with?

Sounds like a great time! Count me in....the Rusty Barell is THE BEST.
Eureka was awesome...fantastic cars and a TON of fast driving. Fridays drive was almost 300 miles....of nothing but curvy roads and hardly no traffic. Saturday was great as well. Next year you all have to go!

Thats an idea, I could eat BBQ everyday and do ghost car tours at night. Maybe even find a way to bring Elvis into the gig.

 

Where is everyone going to be approximately 4pm Saturday? At the show still? I should be there approximately 4-430ish. Hoping I don't miss cowley 20 again...BJ

 

I myself, will be at the show until 5pm or so, then will head uptown.

 

So hard to decide!!!

 

So what is the plan?
Are we going to eat some steak Friday night?

I am able to come at 4p on Saturday. I would love to be able to run cowley 20 with my car. I'm not asking anyone to wait by any means, but if we're not running cowley 20 until after 4p on saturday then I'd be a happy man.

I'm sure on Saturday.... but unlikely for Friday or anything into the evening.... wife has to be at the restaurant and keep the peace on Friday and Saturday night. Keep me posted if the wichita guys are going. Maybe a lunch meeting or early dinner perhaps on saturday?

 

I am leaving west wichita at 3.15p Saturday, anyone else leaving at that time?

Where is everyone parking at the show (assuming I may be in time for it ???)

Thank you guys for coming down to A.C.! Thank you Brian for the pictures you posted of my 6.0. I am looking forward to bringing the orange murcie next year! I'm sorry we didn't hook up Saturday evening uptown, we had plently of food, ICE COLD refreshments and front row seating to offer for everbody!!!
