Who knows? Who posesses?
No clue who owns it, but I have a good idea of where it might be. But the best part is, it's not the last one. Some 3,000+ serial numbers later, there's a 2011 model 612 right here in the US. Can you say 3,026?
This is the last one Saw it at Lake Forest in Chicago in December 2010. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't think so, because the really late one is the only one I've seen that comes after the aforementioned "3,025 of 3,025" car. I think it's a fluke; or someone wrote a blank a check at the very last minute to get a seriously personalized 612. Who knows.
No, but his Sessanta was the last Sessanta. He gets the last of what ever special edition that ends the model run, ie his Scuderia, 16M, Enzo, Challenge Stradale etc.
I dunno, the 456 was pretty damn cool (at least, pretty damn pretty). but I do love the 612. btw, they made over 3000 612's? if so how come they seem so rare, even by Ferrari standards? also, the last 612 made was not a Sessanta? but was it still a "OTO" car?
The 612 is so classy, so elegant, so understated; and it serves multiple purposes, effortlessly - all done better than the 456. Guys like you and me can comfortably fit in the rear. The 612 drives a lot smaller than it looks too; it looks like a luxury sedan on the outside, but steers like a Mini from the cockpit. I've accounted for just over half of total 612 production, 600+ of which is in the US. So if my numbers are right, there should be between 1,000-1,200 612s in the US. Yeah; the last 612 (or, as we've now learned, the penultimate 612) was very personalized.
Lake Forest Sports Cars sold the last 612 produced. The car was purchased by an executive at Phillip Morris. I saw the car in person and was told this by a sales associate whos been with LFSC for 20 years. Joe
I understand pictures are impossible to come by. But can you tell us a little about the car? Exterior and interior colors, options, etc.?
so there's 1200 612's in the US and ~ 1800 for the rest of the world? and yes, the backseat of a 612 is not a bad place to be http://instantrimshot.com/
AFAIK the last Enzo (well, it had to be the last before Ferrari decided to build another one as a gift to the Pope...) and the last Challenge Stradale are in Italy. Maybe you're talking about the last US-spec examples?
Most of the time his cars are the last of the series, like his GTO will be. However, his 16M, Scuderia, and Challenge Stradale are all "only" the last US spec cars. But, his Enzo is the last Enzo of the "399"as is his Sessanta, Barchetta etc. . Rather confusing at some points.
Are you speaking about a yellow FXX owner? Don't know about his Sessanta, but his Barchetta and Enzo have chassis numbers that are quite far from the last ones. I happen to know a guy who took delivery of the last Enzo and the last Challenge Stradale on the same day at Samocar in Rome. He was really pissed off when Ferrari announced the building of one more Enzo, because he had waited 3 years to get the last example without a reason, as it turned out... Well, I would be very happy if I had such problems!!!
I think I know who you mean, M.P, right? Lives in the Marche region. He also has the last 8C Competizione. I believe he was looking to sell off his collection, however?
