I just got word from FoA my car is on the water and should arrive early Sept. Selling the 458 Italia and looking forward to owning the very Speciale 458. My last as I said about the prior 3.

They will keep on making them at least until end of the year, possibly in Q1 2016.

Not correct - according to their IPO prospectus they finish Speciales in September and Apertas in October.

I was in the factory this Thursday just gone; lots of Speciales and Apertas on the line being built. Plus painted body shells lined up and ready to move into the assembly area.
Bearing in mind the Italian August holiday period, production will continue well into Setember at least.

Prospectus might refer to cars for the US market.
Ferrari has front-loaded US deliveries to boost quartery performance pre-IPO. Many European (possibly other) deliveries have been postponed.
I am discussing production in 2016 as a car delivered in the first week of November is of no use to me until April.
Given Ferrari's record, I have very little faith in what they say, in the prospectus, in Atelier, production deparment, or through the dealer.
And I have had direct communication with the last three, and have seen the prospectus.
    YMMV, of course.
