The 430 spider only came out in 2005/6... so I suspect we will still have a few years to go on the current production. I hope... coz I will be looking at one.

Summer of 2008 will mark the end of production for the North American version of the 430 pursuant to the consent decree agreed to by Ferrari regarding the lack of seats with airbag sensors.

I think more accurately - lack of "importation" into U.S. as of August 2008 - may or may not have anything to do with "production". Best

With regards to that matter, I wonder if this airbag sensor issue also applies to us here in Canada. That might be a good question to ask your local Ferrari dealer

The US version differs quite markedly from the rest of the world in some significant areas, especially with regards to side impact steel beams, no LC button, no connecting points for harness seatbelts, different exterior light modules etc. It is certain that US models (which are also sold in Canada, Dubai and several other markets) will cease production by August 2008, when the factory closes for its summer break.

What appies in the US is 100% applicable to Canada. Put differently, cars newer than 15 years that don't meet US specs cannot be imported into Canada.
