    Hello all,

Last year I put together a nice little BBQ at Lake Sammamish park. I am beginning the initial planning proccess for it right now. We had the site that was a stones throw away from beach and Issaquah creek. It had sufficient seating and a wide open parking lot away from majority of the crowds.

I'm looking at doing it on a Saturday towards the end of June. If anyone is interested please post on here. We ran the BBQ like a pot luck and I cooked majority of the time. If you do attend please be sure to sign my e coli waiver :)

    Thanks
    RB

Sounds like fun. I've been known to cook a pretty mean burger, so could share in the cooking duties though the grill would have to be supplied (mine isn't portable). You would do well to reserve one of the shelters...

Let me know how I can help...

The creek shelter has two of the big grills at the site. Hopefully fishing in May is good and I can provide some fresh Spring Chinook. If you've never had it, it puts Copper river to shame. I will check the availability of the site next week. This will aid iin setting a concrete date for this.

btw it would be great to have some reprieve from working the grill. Thanks for the offer.

It appears that I will have to adjust fire a bit. The Lake Sammamish Park now requires a 10 dollar fee (discover pass). I will do my best to have a location by the end of this upcoming week or so. If anyone knows of any city parks in the area, I would love recommendations.

Looking forward to you attending this year Trevor.

Just up on the plateau. Not on the water, but great parking, good shelter, large open area for things like a bit of touch football, tennis courts, playground for the kids. It's also lip-walking distance from my home ;)

    Idlywood Park
Right on Lake Sammamish in Redmond. No fees, but parking is limited unless you use the overflow lot.

    Newcastle Beach Park
Another good beach park on the east side. No fees, plenty of parking, though not all paved. Big grounds, OK beach. Can be busy on the weekends, but if you plan ahead you can get good spots.
