While I absolutely love them turboing the Enzo I wish they would put it back to a street car with the turbos.

Just a bit of an update.

The Enzo is street legal and on the road.

Richard participated in the 2014 Beehive Drive (formerly the Utah Fast Pass), racking up over 1100 miles on the roads of central and southeastern Utah.

The next weekend, the car made an appearance in Wendover to enjoy a few of the activities of Speed Week. Sharing the fact the car is once again being used and living up to it's moniker of "Most Miles".

The last time the Enzo made the trip to Wendover it was in the back of a trailer. Being able to actually drive from Salt Lake to Wendover, was a special experience.

The Enzo continues to evolve and improve with each trip. We will do our best to keep everyone updated along our journey.

After the Wendover trip the odometer showed 33039. Add 100 give or take since then...

For our runs on the Salt Flats, with at a bit over seven pounds of boost the engine produced 847 HP.
To protect the engine, we are currently running with the waste gates open. There are modifications needed to the factory ECM's that will adjust timing and fuel curves before we add boost.

So currently we are close to the factory 650HP.

Our first objective in this evolution, was to get the engine to run and the car to shift as close to original as possible. Now that we have accomplished that, and understand the codes generated, we can move to the next step of developing a controller to work in conjunction with the factory Bosch ECM's to make the necessary adjustments to correct the error codes, and also allow us to tune the car to increase or decease the boost as needed for different driving situations. Little or no boost for daily driving, then bump it up for track days or special events.

With the number of miles we intend to accumulate, this will be a great test bed for electronic controls and monitoring systems.....stay tuned....

I can't help but feel it would've been easier (or nicer) to N/A tune the engine instead if 850 was the target (presumably for traction reasons on the salt it's not higher).

Whatever the reasons, I'm sure Richard is happy regardless :).

It looks like it has been converted back to street trim? Is it still Twin turbo? Would love to see pictures of the engine bay.
