Interesting that you were able to use the roof section of the tub which we removed when we made P 4/5. In P 4/5's new roof section we incorporated an FIA spec. roll over structure. Did you engineer something like that or was the reattached roof section strong enough?

    Best to Richard.

What did you do for a diffuser/undertray as we kept ours for P 4/5? Did you build one or get one from ATL/Ferrari?

If you haven't driven a car with that much HP you won't understand. Drive a car with 800WHP for a while....If you enjoy speed chances are you will get used to it and want more. People who say you can't use the power simply don't understand.

just asking: Why the change to black from original color. Not that it matters as that car has enough publicity. But would have thought it a re-birth of the original.

I missed the part where someone said it's being painted black. Was that in this thread, or somewhere else...? I'm stoked if Richard is painting this Phoenix black...!

The tub is Black. Doesn't mean the car will be black.

I thought that too... then I realized the tub (pictured) is black and figured someone made the inference... T'would be nice in black... Though, a TT Enzo with 1000+ hp could be painted up in Hello Kitty and still be the business ;)

I had done some research on ATR a while back when it was being suggested on another thread that for a small accident such as that which has occurred with the actor-shunted Enzo, tubs ought to go back to the factory. I disagreed with that as a generality, given the resources right here in the USA and you guys are proving my point. However, I did not know that ATR made the Carrera GT tub also. Fascinating.

Richard is a great guy and I wish him all the best with the project. I cant thank him enough for laboring over that chapter he wrote for me for my Miura book in which he recounts his childhood experiences with the car... a true car guy if ever that expression can be properly applied.

Sorry meant ATR (ATL are fuel cell manufactures for various cars)

By the diffuser I mean the rear black "Tunnels" as I was asked if I had that part and answered they stayed on P 4/5.

The Black carbon skegs, vertical fins in the center of the rear tunnels.

Not to hijack, but I always assumed Dallara made the F50 tubs? Is this not the case?

Not to go too untechnical (if you will)...but what a special day it will be when Richard gets to drive the car again....crazy. These are the stories that make these cars (especially the super exotics) so fascinating.

    I hope for a while.

I have one question, though, that I have wanted to ask for a while.

Why is Richard not on Ferrarichat? If this has been asked before then I apologize, and if he is not a member for a personal reason then I don't want to intrude.

But it seems like he would have much to share with the community, and he would be such a welcomed member.

I still remember the day I got that issue of Road and Track, and my favorite part of the article was his subsection about his history with the magazine and Ferraris. And I anticipated his updates on the car that occured every so often.

I haven't asked him specifically about Ferrarichat but in the past when I have mentioned something that I saw online to see if he had seen or heard of it, he was quick to say that he doesn't really get involved with online discussions.
