I still prefer the initial review by Chris Harris tho.

I hope he is right about the depreciation. I have already put 400 miles on my Scud since I bought it 2 weeks ago. I can't stop driving it!!!

Imo scud is the most exciting modern ferrari. Maybe values in europe values have firmed up.

I put 4500 miles in 5 months of use. Its hard not to drive a car like this. In my 430 6 speed i drove 3 k miles in 5 months , 997.2 gt3 2000 miles same 5 months. You get the idea.

He said the Scud is the first Ferrari that came with F1 gearbox. False, it was the CS. The Scud is a very special car for sure.

Maybe not the first f1 single clutch gearbox , but certainly one of the best f1 single clutch gearbox in the world.
Btw ..355 came out with the first F1 gearbox.

Just got my scud two weeks ago, and I must say one hell of a car!!
I tend to agree that the 458 is more tamed versus the rawness of a scud.

Sold my 430 and picked up my Scud two weeks ago also. Good week for Scud sales I guess. Can't begin to describe the thrill of this car. Love the exhaust note and the sound of the pebbles hitting the floor board. And those little red lights! Will post some pics and video soon. Triple layer red with black leather.

As a Scud owner I am happy to see this. However, I imagine IF Ferrari comes out with a 458 Scud, our cars should continue to depreciate. I assume it will take 5-10 years until our cars start the climb back up liek the Ford GT. IMHO of course.

He said everything I've been saying for the past 2+ yrs.

I love my Scuderia every time I turn the key, it is the first car ever in my life that I have not lost interest in after the first year of ownership...I usually get bored of a car after driving it the first year or so, like I did the CS, which started to feel too sluggish.

I also love how the 458 Italia looks to be honest. The 458 looks elegantly beautiful (everything is sculpted in like the curves of a woman), while the Scuderia looks like an aggressive race car (race vents, sharp lines, carbon everything) imho.

The other thing I like about the Scuderia, and something I have only come to realize this past weekend at Sonoma is that when you park a Scuderia next to an Italia, it does not look like its predecessor nor does the 458 look like its successor. They look like distant cousins of the same age.

I couldn't say the same about the CS...the minute I saw some parked next to either Scuderia or 458 they immediately looked old and dated. Still quite the looker, but again, I felt the car was of a different age.

Hard to say, there will be quite a larger price delta between 458 Scud to 458 Italia then there was between F430 to 430 Scuderia which had a very similar price delta between 360 to CS. Not to mention that there will be / has been quite a staggering flood of 458s on the market, so the supply of options will be quite overwhelming!

I like it a lot. I used to replace my cars quite often. My Scuderia turned 4 years old last month, and I like it as much as day 1 (actually better now that the car is better). Nothing has yet hit the market that causes me the emotion to replace it.

and it does this quite well:

Mine turned 4 this March. Im still in love with it too. I usually traded my supercars every year, but my Scud has won me over till now. There isnt anything else out there i would rather own at the moment...
