Not sure which paddle design 458 Speciale uses so sorry can't help you on that. The key point of my exercise was to have paddles that actually catered for when your hands are not in the straight ahead steering position. So mission accomplished!

Personal preference over paddle design is subjective. Carbonio copied the tapered end design theme of the short OEM stock paddles by making their offering longer, whereas Ferrari adopted a different design altogether for their extended paddles. Essentially, both do the job, but which design works/feels better at this length only Ferrari could tell you that as they have employed both design themes.
