This is how the LC works on my F430 (I believe).

As far as I can understand, when to use the LC one has to turn the Manettino to CST off mode before pressing the LC. I've tried the Manettino at Race mode but that will not engage the LC. Once done, this allows revving the engine with the brakes on and when letting go of the brakes the clutch engages. However, as the CST is off there is no traction control, so the amount of wheel spin is entirely down to the driver. That to me is not launch control as I thought such would mean the electronics make sure to achieve the best possible grip and take off, similar to how it was in the Formula 1 before they banned it.

Have I got it wrong, is my LC not working properly or is that it; all the LC does is allows you to rev the engine and dump the clutch similar to an ordinary manual 'box?
