I turned mine on to update it, and my 2 year subscription has expired. It’s
$368.44 to renew it. Has anyone done this?
I’ve owned it for 2 years and knew this was coming, I just don’t want to enter my credit card number and not get the update.

Can anyone confirm that I can keep using it the way it is, it just won’t get the updates? For me, it does everything I want it to now.

It will keep working with current software .. just will annoy you to update and pay every time you boot up
Do not say "yes" to clean-up if that shows up on start up - that will wipe some software other I believe
The basic app and interface as well as the EOBD will update anyway

What car are you using it on where the update would make a difference?

Unfortunately even on an older car they add functionality fix bugs like.latw last year they added Ediff support and fix PIs function on a f430.. so not always about newer cars

That being said..I think 11.05 is pretty stable for f430 s

What makes this a good OBD reader?

Is it good for the 458?

The only aftermarket tool I know of the covers the 488 and newer cars is the Leo. We just updated ours.. but my Luanch..Autel..etc..does not support it. So far anyway..

I’m looking on Amazon and there are a lot of Launch X431 versions that vary widely in price from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars with pro versions etc. Which one should I buy for the 458?

The pros mini is a great balance especially when on sale but depending on what you looking to do a thinkdiag may suffice

I have the X431 29e which covers the 458. Even with the optional software, there is no coverage for 488 and F8 models. It would have been nice to know that beforehand.

Any chance someone in the Phoenix area would be willing to let me borrow their x431 to check the clutch wear on my 2005 F430 and maybe adjust the PIS?!? I have good beer in the fridge !

    Thx!
