LCD Monitor stereos in Ferraris?

    I agree its sort of a gimmick and new, you can operate the stereo without opening the monitor, when its open the lcd screen gives all the detailed info for the stereo tuner.

    The TV tuner is designed for a vehicle and has specific antenna for it, they have a safety switch so they can only operate when the vehicle is parked but its just 2 wires from the unit and you could by pass this and watch it while driving if you wanted to but not a good idea I am sure.

    Why have a TV tuner? Lets say you are on a road trip in your car and want to watch the news for weather info or get local information,I could drill some holes in my roof and add a big sattlelite dish and have cable also, with the dvd if they ever came out with it for the movie Grand Prix on dvd you could watch the race scenes while in your Ferrari :), maybe the novelty will wear off quickly but the in dash units require no mods to your dash so a regular deck can be put back in.
