Where's a good source of info about this year's cars? Do the 575s, etc have any relationship with the road cars at all?

As per the rules, the cars have to be bascially stock from the windscreen to the rear drive. Beyond that, all bets are off as the engines are moved as far back (right up to the firewall) as possible and every competitive trick in the book is employed such as carbon fiber brakes and complex suspension systems.

The only 575 will be from JMB as Care Racing/Labre Competition will be entering three 550 GT Maranellos which have proven to be far more competitive than the 575s.

The Barron-Connor 575 GTBs were some 15-18 seconds off the pace of the Corvettes and 550 GT Maranellos at Le Mans last year so we'd better hope there have been some improvments.

I'm really curious: why do you think the 575's are sooooo much slower than the 550's? More development time on the 550s? Different constructors? Must be about the same weight; and more hp? (hp/weight penalty?) Drivers? The difference doesn't seem logical....Your opinion?
