Some sort of rear suspension issue. Back on track thankfully, but 14 laps behind lead GTE-Pro #51.

#51 just had a long pit...Nicky Catsburg in the #63 Vette is closing the gap. It had been as much as 1+10, now within 25 seconds with 5 hours to go.

I didn't always agree with Jim but good on him for fielding a team. Puts his money where his mouth is.

Would like to see a new design for prototype cars, man those things are ug-ly!

And getting two cars across the finish on the first outing is pretty remarkable.

Well done Toyota. Nice effort overall.

Nice for SCG as well. Competitive.

The #51 AF Corse takes the GTE Pro win, with the #63 of Corvette Racing in second and Porsche's #92 rounding off the podium

What happened at the very end with the photo finish? That LMP2 car looked like it almost caused an accident and into the guy with the checkered flag...

They just said that #31 LMP2 was trying to keep a lead that ended up at only 0.7s at the finish so made sense he was still racing. Pretty dangerous for photo finish to be happening with a real race still going on...

Very nice image of the two Ferrari class winning teams in GTE Pro and GTE Am celebrating together:)

Well done to Alpine and Glickenhaus, respect to Toyota.

That's another tradition Le Mans should give up.

Daytona is a good example of how things should be done !

I wonder if today was the last time we see that tradition! Would be crazy if they got rid of it as it's very unique, but for safety reasons it makes the most sense.

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus with Pipo Moteurs-powered non-hybrid LMH entries enjoyed a largely uneventful race, other than serving a handful of penalties for pit lane infringements or on-track incidents

    Jim, work on that!

Everyone else was going slow, and those guys were still racing.

I'm crushed for the #41 WRT entry. That's the worst. At least if you go out in the first hour, you can go ride the ferris wheel.

First time watching for over a decade. The Hypercars just look so unappealing. LMP cars from the early 2000's looked better.
Glad the C8 brought a great result. They were closing in fast.

You can tell by the question I'm not much into endurance racing, but - LeMans in August?? Is this a one-off due to Covid?

Timing and scoring should have been aware of the race going on behind the Toyota's and kept him behind the pit wall. I gasped when I saw the LMP2 dart towards him, nearly tragic.

Side note: I really miss those Grand Marnier Crêpes, hope to be back there again soon.

i am super happy for Jim.
    what an achievement !
i watched many hours of the race and wish i had been there (i was there with him at the NBR24 twice).

fantastic result for an independent with no factory support.
