If you want to make a small fortune in racing, start with a big one.

If your big fortune became small on its own, well...

Going to be one of the great Le Mans, imho.

A real manufacturers' battle with scores to be settled.

Entries down, only means a shorter list of guys who don't get to race.
Where the financial situation is hurting is the series, not the feature races.
Both LMS and ALMS are light fields so far. Twas always going to be a transition year though. So if it had to happen maybe its better this year than next.
We get a memorable 24 Hours this year what ever the future holds.

totally agree with you - this is going to be the best 24h in a long time and for LMS too - what economic turmoil?!?!?!

I'd hardly call the LMS field "light" with some 52 entrants - Sebring is VERY LIGHT with only 27 entries and I think ALMS may be doing good to see 20+ cars for most of the season.

Yes bad choice of words and sloppy posting to equate the two series situations.
LMS would've been stronger but is still well supported.

Think we all expected GT2 to carry ALMS interest through this season but the circumstances dealt that a heavy blow.
Time for all the ALMS family to gather together and have a good time at each round even if the fields are light.

They still have a sizable reserve list for the ACO event this year, so it can't be that bad.

Agree it is going to be gladiatorial at the front between the LMP1 cars! ;)
